ChampStatus
As the Depth Chart is right now for the Canucks: D Sedin - H Sedin - Vrbata Higgins - Bonino - Burrows Vey*/Hansen - Matthias - Kassian* Sestito - Richardson - Dorsett *When/if we get them signed As much as you may or may not like the line up. And Horvat as of right now does not make these line ups any better.

Spotted Zebra
That's also not including Jensen who plays more of an NHL style game than an AHL one. Removing Hansen and Burrows would solve the problem but it won't happen now

The Analyst
I don't want to burn a year off this entry level deal for no reason. I'm fine waiting a year.

stapler343
I'm actually really happy to see that [it appears] we aren't gonna rush our youngsters. I'm already in love with the player Horvat's gonna be, but the time hasn't come yet for him. Even if he does make the team this year, I'd be surprised if he becomes an impact player for us sooner than at least 2 or 3 seasons anyway. I think his career would ultimately benefit from another year, though I wish it could be in the AHL.

Pears
If Horvat isn't ready I think we'll make a move for a second line center Sedin - Sedin - Vrbata Burrows - _____ - Kassian Higgins - Bonino - Vey Matthias - Richardson - Dorsett Hamhuis - Bieksa Edler - Tanev Sbisa - Corrado Miller Lack
Derp...
I don't know if he's ready, but at least now he's going to have to earn that spot on the roster, and if not, hey that's okay, he will get another season of development in his offensive game. DarthNinja
It's not really a discussion at this point but it should become clearer during camp.
CanucksSayEh
He did not impress in camp last year, dunno bout this year. He certainly won't be given a spot to simply "break in". If he can't do the job better than a roster player, he'll be back in JR. Which is fine, heck, and AHL season after that is cool too.

2inthecup
Hovrats development best serves being in the nhl next year. He's had 3 years in ohl, don't think a fourth would benefit him to much. I would say 2 of our current roster will be dealt... Maybe even after camp to see who plays well together but if I were to bet I think burrows and Hansen are on the way out. Sedin-Sedin-Vrbata Jensen/Burrows-Bonino-Kassian Higgins-Horvat/Matthias-Vey/Burrows Matthias/Sestito-Richardson-Dorsett ^Hansen's out for sure. Burrows may also need to be shipped out if Jensen and Vey both really impress. What does Sestito offer that Dorsett, Kassian and Sbisa don't? He's a heavyweight and fights anyone. Will do him no good if he struggles to adapt, and he's forced to play because there is no back up plan. Let the youngsters develop properly. If management think he's ready to start his development the NHL, he will without shadow of a doubt be playing, but not to please fans, who can't wait a few years to give them the time needed...
