Bill Good, host of the CKNW morning show, retired today after 28 years. His overall career spanned 50 years as he was the news anchor on CBC and CTV for many years. He even went over to Russia during the 1972 Hockey Summit Series since he started in the sports department.

He seemed to be too nice a guy for the job. Needed a bit more "attack and bite" to his gig. May have let his personal friendship with a few politicians get in the way of asking the hard questions.

Full marks for longevity and 3/4 marks for content.

Is he really retiring or his contract not renewed? As one of the longest employee at CKNW, he must make a lot of money. Corus Entertainment has let go a lot of staff recently to cut costs.

His replacement, whoever he/she is, will be less expensive.

One of BC's legendary broadcasters. He will be missed.

Not by me really. He nearly puts me to sleep. He's solid enough but I get the sense lately that this has become just a job. A well paying one he is quick to point out as well. Hard hitting though he is not. I wouldn't agree though that he let's bias interfere with his job he always interviews his guests from the same level and expects them to be as accountable as anyone else. Move up Simi Sera.
