Rex425
So here's a guy the canucks can possibly draft next year. Here's his info:http://beta.eliteprospects.com/players/oliver-kylington/142238 He is projected to go no.6-14 which will likely where the canucks will select. I don't know lots about him but I heard he is good so probably will keep track.
TheRussianRocket.
He's basically another forward out there. Dman that has immense offensive talent - kind of like Erik Karlsson. Tons of skill, slim body, smooth skater, lacking a bit defensively, gets a lot of points.
RogerEpic5
Always nice to have an Erik Karlsson. He looks great and plays a solid all-around game. I mean it's that swedish connection.. right? Lack, Markstrom, Sedins,
Zoolander
Sounds like a great pick for us..we need a PMD. Love the fact we have a GM capable of making a trade to move up for this guy too
Allt svartnar
The only U17-defenseman to score more in his 16-year old season in the SHL is Calle Johansson who went on to have quite a bit of success playing in the NHL. Source. I would like to see him as a Canuck.
L. Stanley
unless something happens to him this year/injury/crap play, he will go closer to 6 than 14, he'd be an absolute steal outisde the top 9, i think currently ranked 6th among all skaters
banana republic
He gonna be top5 for sure. If I remember correctly Jones was rated the same as that the year before and by Christmas came he was projected top5. Although the swedish factor might allow him to dropout no way pass 10 Would love a dman in the 1st round tho

Zoolander
I saw on a draft website he's listed as 6'1, 180lbs....Lidstrom was 6'1, 190lbs in his prime :DWe have so many forwards prospects in the system now, I hope we can land this guy next year

He was the defensive mastermind.
Honeydew
This kid is going to be one of the biggest steals in the next coming draft, seems like a better version of Duncan Keith cept swedish. I think I can disagree with the Erik Karlsson comparisons this kid has way better defensive coverage compared to Karlsson. I doubt the Canucks will be able to draft this kid.... if we do we would fill the void of lacking a game breaking defensive prospect.

I don't see much in him, he can skate and play offence but his defence isn't close to Duncan Keith. Duncan Keith has a unique skating ability where he can turn his skates and even if a hard forechecker is coming he can take the hit or spin and skate out of the defensive zone. I see Kylington similar to Yandle.

I see Kylington similar to Yandle. If other teams take notice of his "lack" of defense, that might scare other teams off and have him fall around our pick if the Canucks barely miss the playoffs like they're projected to then I think we should pick Kylington. Honestly, we're missing the No.1 PMD that Kylington is projected to become. Although his defense might not be spectacular, he might be able to develop that side of the trade over time. Even if he doesn't, as long as he reaches his elite offensive potential, I'd be happy. I'm a strong believer in defensemen actually being able to play defense well, but at this point, I think we can afford to have Kylington focus purely on offense as we have a great core of guys who could play the stay-at-home role. I know it's been talked about a lot, but this is a really good opportunity for us to ACTUALLY have one instead of having it on our wish list. Also, the faster Kylington comes along, the better. He could be like the Ehrhoff that Edler has been missing since he left for free agency. Not to mention, imagine the guy running the PP with Edler, Vrbata, and the Sedins. (If only Vrbata was Swedish! We could have the Swedish Connection!) Anyway, I'd be ecstatic if we could get Kylington, I feel like he has the potential to really be a game changer in the NHL someday. NaslundLindenBure
we could use a blue chip prospect on d like kylington, it would ve nice if he could drop to our pick

Canucks Curse
I like Kylington but would you take him over Dylan Strome or Barzal? I wouldn't. I know we need D prospects, so I'd take BPA in 1st round and if there are not clear BPAs in the rest if the rounds, I'd go for and in 2nd round and beyond. I and btw, get Hansen the F--k out our lineup and put Bo in so we can win some face offs

TheSnipeshow91
I think Hutton, if developed properly, can be our PMD. What we need is a right handed dman with a big shot and great defensive ability. A Tanev with higher offensive upside maybe?
EagleShield
Unless McJesus falls into our laps, I think this is the guy we need to take.In terms of organisational need, he's top 4 for us (after McDavid, Eichel and Hanifin).
Shinkaruk_9
This is the guy I'm pushing for us to draft, I've been watching him he is going to be a number one, Erik Karlsson type defenseman in this league guys, very reminiscent to EK, I think he can be a 50-70 point defender
