Piggy Bank
So, Virtanen initially went into the WHL as a Center. Then of course as things change he was moved to wing, where someone with a big body like his should be. Could he be our future Number 1C though? If he went back to his junior team, and played Center he could do some serious damage with the right wingers. If he worked well at Center then F ya. King Heffy
He plays a North-South style of game and is a better finisher than a playmaker. He's a born winger (and a good one). McCann is a center anyway.
"Bull" Horvat
especially with McCann as a decent playmaker why would you move him beside Virtanen it's fine the way it is. McCann and Horvat would eventually become 2a and 2b centermans. just like Krejci and Bergeron. It'll be fine.. as i go side track on this topic ... we need to start adding some decent dmens through the draft in maybe the earlier rounds
bohonos76
I'd prefer to see him on the wing being Cam Neely.
Bissurnette
I wouldn't mind him trying it out in the dub if not for anything else, it's to work on his playmaking skills down there. But in the NHL he'll probably be a winger.
Gyllenhaal
Thing is, he plays like a winger. Shoot-first mentality, not a good playmaker, and fast. I think there is a reason he is now a winger.
Keslerific
He's better as a winger than a centre. Keep him on the wing

Horvat was compared to Bergeron and McCann was compared to Krejci at the draft. We don't necessarily need a legitimate 1C, as long as we have 2 good top 6 centers that can get the job done. Please leave our winger prospects alone, they're too few as is already...
BI3KSA-
I don't understand why you would move Virt to center when he is a winger and moved McCann to wing when he is a center? Especially when we really need more winger prospects than centers.

BobLoblaw
Not to say I agree with the thought of Virtanen as a centre; however, remember that Trevor Linden was a winger who learned to play centre at the NHL level.
Jack Fig
We just got rid of a centre who wasn't much of a passer/playmaker. Not interested in sandbagging another line because of a centre who doesn't have the gift.

Jai604
Honestly makes no sense. Virtanen's style is best-suited to the wing, alongside a play-making centreman. I don't understand why these threads get made.

Mathew Barzal
Kassian would be a MUCH better center. He has the vision and the size to dominate in the offensive zone, just hook him up with some two way wingers to pick up the slack in the defensive end. Virtanen is a nono, see Kesler post-2011 for your answer to that.
