CanuckMan10
We don't have a need for markstrom with Miller and Lack, but the LA Kings need a worthy back up for Quick (Martin Jones is young and inexperienced). Markstrom has 1 year left on his contract and could bridge until Jones is more NHL prepared. LA has some decent Defense prospects we could snag and or maybe a later draft pick? ThaManbeast
Lmao go look at Martin Jones' record last year... Ya Jones is way more proven than Markstrom, guy made Scrivens tradeable.
CanuckMan10
Ya now that i look into it more he's a beast. There is basically no team in the NHL where Markstrom is needed...
RogerEpic5
How about we bring Martin Jones instead? He's a BC boy ^
fightmeirl
markstrom is a backup goalie, only time a back up goalie is trades is when a team has 2 starters
Ghostsof1915
How about Markstrom for Jones? We can then trade Lack for a pick or defenseman, or prospect. Miller and Jones, aka Beer and Soda. I'm ok with that deal.
elvis15
Just a heads up OP, but the word Proposal in your title should have brackets around it too. Check out the pinned thread for more info: All Threads Must Contain Tags But as far as your proposal, it won't work. Jones is at least as good as Markstrom at this point, and certainly LA would be more comfortable with him as a known entity than to trade for another backup. Add to that Jones is making league minimum where Markstrom is making $1.2M this year and it's even less of a question.
timberz21
Lol Jones young and inexperience. Like Markstrom is freaking Chris Osgood. Markstorm has 47 games under his belts in 4 years Jones has 19 games in 1 year. Jones will probably have more NHL games than Markstrom at the end of this year lol
bctim
The team that would be most likely to take Markstrom is Winnipeg. We could maybe use him in a package deal for Kane.

Markstrom has 1 year left on his contract and could bridge until Jones is more NHL prepared. LA has some decent Defense prospects we could snag and or maybe a later draft pick? Wow! It's mind boggling how many on here make proposals and know little to nothing about the player/team in the proposal.

Angry Goose
BUF should go for him. They are in full re-build anyways. Probably wouldn't have to give up much either.
bp79
I say wwe keep markstrom, and trade lack instead. Hes gonna be 30 b4 he gets a chance to start and demko for allwe know may be banging on the door by then. lack atm is at his peak value, so i say move lack and hanson for josh morrisey. We need a young pmd and that dude fits the bill.
CanucksFanMike
Jones is more than good enough to be a backup.... and even so LA wouldn't give up much for a potential waiver pickup
