Jiggs50
I find it hilarious how these wannabe mods or whatever always have to find something wrong with a thread. Sick thread btw

aGENT
Anyway The best piece of info I took out of that was about Horvat's speed/acceleration. Horvat is a quick skater, and he has greatly improved his speed and acceleration over the last couple of years. What was once a weakness has now become a strength and shows Horvat’s dedication to continue improving his game.

SID.IS.SID.ME.IS.ME
I hadn't read this either (although I've been away on vacation). Interesting that they had Gustav Forsling in their top-100 for the 2014 Draft: 89. Gustav Forsling, D, Linkopings (5’11″ 176 lbs): Very impressive at the Under 18 IIHF World Hockey Championship putting up 4 goals in 7 games for Sweden. An undersized offensive defenceman, with great skating in both directions, and strong passing skills, both in starting the rush and in quarterbacking the powerplay. He loves to join the rush or lead it. Forsling has an outstanding point shot, and his one-timer is an absolute rocket. http://lastwordonsports.com/2014/06/27/nhl-draft-scouting-reports-76-100/ (linked in the article) I'm liking that pick more and more at #126 overall. I'm not surprised that LWOS didn't put Tryamkin in their top-100 (even though we picked him at #66). I think it's the overage factor more than anything (and how that plays out in their rankings). I certainly think he was one of the 100 best available draft-eligible players in 2014. And I still love the Tryamkin pick at #66 (I know of quite a few people who had him much higher) and I've heard from a couple sources that he almost certainly would have been taken by another team in round three if the Canucks hadn't grabbed him when they did (and he certainly would have been gone before Vancouver's next pick at #126). All in all, a very good first draft for the Linden/Benning regime IMHO, and one that I'm liking more and more with time.
