Shink Posted August 8, 2014 Share Posted August 8, 2014 Before this upcoming season starts: Jacob Markstrom traded to any team who wants him for a 5th round pick 2015 If canucks fail to make the playoffs in the 2014-2015 season: Trades for 2015-2016 season Alex burrows traded for 2016 2nd round pick Jannik Hansen traded for 2016 2nd round pick Yannick weber traded for a 2016 3rd round pick We end up with: 2015 5th round pick (we would have three after trade) 2016 2nd round pick 2016 2nd round pick(we would have three after trade) 2016 3rd round pick (we would have 2 after trade) Then at the 2015 nhl draft: We package up our 2nd and 4th round pick to whichever team that has the 30th overall pick and we package up our 3 5th round picks for some teams 60th overall pick At the 2015 nhl draft we get these picks: 1st round pick (tba) 30th overall pick 60th overall pick Then at the 2016 nhl draft: We trade our 3 second round picks for the 24th overall pick We trade our 2 3rd round picks for a teams 60th overall pick We get these picks: Our own 2016 1st round pick (tba) 24th overall pick 60th overall pick Yay or nay? I am starting to think Burrows will not be traded......don't know exactly where they are going to put him, but I think he stays I think Lack (Carolina 2015-32ish), Higgins (Higgins 2015-late 2nd), Hansen (2015-late 2nd) That would leave the Canucks with 2015-1st (6th to 15th overall)...we shall see!? 2015- early 2nd (32ish Carolina) for Lack 2015- 36th to 45th Canucks pick 2015- 50 ish (Higgins) 2015- 55 ish (Hansen) Would not trade any of the 4 2015-2nd round picks......maybe add a 2016-3 or 4th to move one of the 2nds up if needed Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
