CRAZY_4_NAZZY
wow what a steal of a deal. This guy should be playing top six minutes this season beside Kesler and Cogliano
Pears
Great deal. Only one year but at an awesome cap hit. wow what a steal of a deal. This guy should be playing top six minutes this season beside Kesler and CoglianoCogliano will most likely be their third line center now Heatley - Getzlaf - Perry Etem - Kesler - Silfverberg Rakell - Cogliano - Palmieri Maroon - Thompson - DSP Most likely line combos IMO. SamJamIam
Now the Ducks just need a proper second line.
Master Mind
Wow that's a great deal for the Ducks. It's not often you can get a top 6 forward with good potential for that cheap.
Master Mind
Now the Ducks just need a proper second line. If any of their young players (Etem, DSP, Maroon, Rakell, etc.) are ready for top 6 minutes, they'll be just fine.

That's ugly. I really don't like the moves the Ducks made this offseason. Imagine if they didnt let RFA Perreault walk for nothing.

CanuckFanForever1123
Great deal even for just one year. I would pay him 2.5 mil right now to come play on our 2nd line. Steal.

My reasoning is that he wouldn't be a good fit with Kesler, and guys like Rakell and Maroon are good on the third and fourth lines. Playing with Getzlaf and Perry may get Heatley's career back on track.
Plum
Great deal but he'll get alot more on a big deal when he signs one. They got a solid first line but I don't see them contending because they need their young players to develop into full time NHLers. Getzlaf, Perry, Kesler are going to be obvious top 6 players but they're going to need DSP to play like how he did in the playoffs during the whole season for him to fill a spot. The other 2, Cogliano and Silfverberg will fill out the LW and RW for Kesler's line.

Playing with Getzlaf and Perry may get Heatley's career back on track. There is nothing that can get Heatley's career back on track other than a trip back in time. He is pretty much finished and will likely play on the 4th line/13 forward.

Playing with Getzlaf and Perry may get Heatley's career back on track.Heatley has lost his game. He can still give you 10-15 goals a season but he is nowhere near the all star that he used to be. Heatley would probably be playing 4th line minutes and Devante Smith Pelly would be moved up to the third. Palmieri to the second and Etem to the first alongside with Getzlaf and Perry. Plum
Just throw Heatley in the slot and give him one-timers, he'll score all day.
TOMapleLaughs
They have a ridiculous amount of cap space for a stacked team. Remember when we had a ridiculous amount of cap space for a basement team? Sigh...
Drummin' Canuck
After the Ducks traded Penner to the Caps, Belesky and Smith-Pelly were the usual alternating line mates for Getzlaf and Perry, especially in the playoffs. If they continue with that formula, I'd expect to see Heatley somewhere between the 3rd/4th lines with a combination of Silfverberg/Palmieri/Etem joining Kesler on the 2nd line.
