Dal Colle
He chose a contender. Wonder if he has a roster spot. He'll prob end up playing for their affiliate. And they have tons of prospects who already played in the NHL last year like Fasth, Miller, Hagelin, etc......
Pears
Wow nice job by the Rangers. He'll probably get a spot due to how small their roster is. He'll prob end up playing for their affiliate. And they have tons of prospects who already played in the NHL last year like Fasth, Miller, Hagelin, etc...... Hagelin isn't a prospect...

Robongo
AV will either endorse this kid or bury him on the bench for doing all the little things correctly Lol people always say stupid things like this, when in reality, our young players sucked and didn't deserve the ice time. Our prospect pool was a joke for over half his tenure.
timberz21
He chose a contender. Wonder if he has a roster spot. NYR will fight for a playoff spot again. I wouldn't call them a contender. They had a magical run, and got lucky Boston played their kryptonite in the previous series, thats about it
Darth Kane
I wish Hayes all the best but I am glad this situation is over with. I was tired of hearing about the Hayes situation. As I've said before, Hayes worked within the system and took advantage of his situation. When all the details come out I wonder if this is more about playing time or money. It wasn't even that big of a story imo. Hayes stayed away from the media and did his work under the radar. Media kind of made it a deal but it was no where near the level of Justin Schultz when he signed. On a side note, it would he pretty funny if AV puts him in his doghouse

Nothing against these guy...but it takes much more than an elite goaltender and a good coach to be considered a contender. However I will admit that the east is much more open and subject to a cinderella team sneaking through than in the West. Similar to what Carolina, NJ and NYR did in the past few years. Boston is the only true undisputed contender in the East. Pittsburgh is close but not consistent enough (at least in the playoff).
Shinkaruk_9
St. Louis, Nash, Stephan, Zuccarello, McDonagh, Girardi, Lundqvist, Marc Staal is a real solid core to build around. They're definitely a contender, adding Hayes made them better IMO. They are a good team, especially with AV behind the bench...

Amish Rake Fighter
The Rangers are a contender for the right to get steamrolled by whoever comes out of the West.

With AV there and the history with NY it'd be a Double Dion!
Guest Dasein
This guy is a young prospect and he wants to be coached by AV... Does he not want to play in the NHL? Kesler, Burrows, Bieksa, Edler, Hansen, Raymond, Schneider - all started and found success under AV. Sedins became Art Ross winners under AV. Hayes will be just fine.
