Lui's Knob
Hello Eriksson for the 2nd line? with Bo and Kas? http://www.bostonglobe.com/sports/2014/08/21/bruins-need-trade-free-space-for-krug-smith/UQCrUNNKtKTfttjyEJAK8H/story.html?event=event25
Junkyard Dog
Lol we aren't getting Eriksson since he is one of six top 6 forwards they have. Boychuck and McQuaid most likely since they have 8 NHL defenseman and both are upcoming UFAs.
Kesler+Horvat
Mcquaid + Kelly are likely gone. Id trade Tanev + Jensen + Hansen for Eriksson
awalk
Burrows for Bartowski?
TOMapleLaughs
They want to trade Krug and are probably trying mightily to do so, but every GM should know that he's one of the most-overrated, most-sheltered defensemen in the NHL.

Id trade Tanev + Jensen + Hansen for Eriksson You do realize they don't need defense, Jensen's potential is an Eriksson and this is a huge overpayment. Ovi one kenobi
Interesting article.
Tom Sestito
They'd be looking for the first team who wants to give up a first if you're talking Eriksson.
YEGCanuck
Unable to open the article, but I would trade for Boychuck if the price was right and he didn't want more than $4m.
awalk
The article specifically states that they are overloaded on D and want help on the wing. Why in the h-e-double hockey sticks would they trade Ericksson???

Shinkaruk_9
You do realize they don't need defense, Jensen's potential is an Eriksson and this is a huge overpayment. McCann's potential is a Kesler, remind me why they traded for him? I know, ANA didn't draft him but at 24th pick who wouldn't draft him?
ComfyMatter
Makes me feel all wozy and cozy just hearing the Bruins in trouble. Eriksson is staying I bet. They are NOT going to trade Torey Krug unless the price is right. Smith is a lock. McQuaid, Boychuk, and Bartkowski are probably expandable. In other words trading assets. I think there best bet is to trade the following Boychuk/Bartkowski/McQuaid I'd try and grab Smith or Eriksson. Although we would be giving a lot and most likely in this case a prospect and picks? If that's the case I would like to pass. Our prospect pool is getting better and I don't want to give them up for rentals like Eriksson.
Junkyard Dog
If they are able to dump a couple players I wouldn't mind going after McQuaid if he's still there.
Phil_314
Wouldn't want to help them to be honest It would be a big hit to the team overall if their emerging power play specialist or 2nd line right wing want out because they're feeling underpaid by a team that can't afford to pay them. In the long run, they'd also be forced to decide between Hamilton/ Krejci/ Krug/ Smith if they low-ball them this year and they break out next year. Would have offered Hansen for Boychuk since that would still be a steal but as mentioned not if he won't sign for cheap (he'd make a solid #4 here but won't do it if he won't commit long-term). Maybe we can package several of our guys for a bigger piece, like how we got Ehrhoff from San Jose?

I know, ANA didn't draft him but at 24th pick who wouldn't draft him? That's irrelevant and regardless Tanev, Jensen and Hansen is a massive overpayment for Eriksson that would hurt us more than help us.
Sneezy
I'd be all for McQuaid and/or Boychuk...we have a need for big, bruising RHD. Perhaps they would be willing to take Hansen for one of McQuaid or Boychuk (that is, if Hansen would waive his NTC).
ChuckNORRIS4Cup
There is more teams then just Boston who need to make cap space... In order from how high over, to how low. Philadelphia = -$4,936,429 Chicago = -$2,216,795 Tampa Bay = -$1,877,927 Boston = -$809,

It would have to be a pick, but I would love to shore up our top 6 RD with Mcquaid.
Beastmode33
Just looking at capgeek armchair gm for the bruins, and if they have to pay krug $3.5 and smith $4, which seems fair to me based on their production last year, the bruins are screwed, even after savard goes on ltir......
