Analysis: The 23-year-old Beck had previously been attending Predators camp on a tryout basis, so his earning a contract would seem to bolster his chances of making the squad. Even so, there's still a chance that the Preds waive him if they decide to proceed with other options in their bottom six, banking on the fact that Beck will more than likely clear waivers and remain in the system at AHL Milwaukee, where he totaled 49 points last season. It is believed the Flames who've been steadily climbing the Standings over the past month and have now broken into the League's top ten are looking at options to upgrade their roster to be a bigger player come Playoff time. There have been no names rumoured but it is believed that the Flames have made a couple moves to make the team younger, bigger, and more skilled. Stay Tuned!
