It will be a full featured league with in depth stats so GM's can build the type of team they want. Full list of stats is being determined now and we are open to suggestions as well. - 20 man NHL roster and 3 reserves - minor league players as well. - real life cap hits and salary cap restrictions on teams. The league will be run through fantrax and an initial online draft will be held starting as soon as possible once I figure out if there are GM's interested. 15-18 teams is deal but we will see how much interest there is. If you are interested please PM me the following info: 1. your e-mail address (I will then send you an invite to the league on fantrax) 2. your top 3 preferred teams in order. Team assignments will of course depend on the number of participants and balancing the conferences but we will work that out. I have set up a preliminary league on fantrax. We are still working out details on the scoring to ensure that it represents a good balance and that all players have a reasonable value based on their real life value. It will not be perfect of course but a balanced scoring structure makes the league much more realistic and life like. Given the short time frame until the season starts I think the draft should start next Friday if possible. I am not sure yet exactly what the time limits etc will be. Or the number of rounds. I would expect something like 30 rounds or so. That way teams can get a full roster plus some prospects. Free agency will be a little different and more personal (think like the CDC leagues, Nail's league, etc. where GM's negotiate with league player agents rather than just bid on fantrax). This process will obviously be adjusted a bit depending on the number of teams in the league. This league will require commitment. During the draft all GM's will be expected to maintain lists on fantrax so it will go smoothly when they are not around. If you don't know how to I can help explain it as it is really easy and convenient. I am also leaning towards picks being skipped if the time limit expires rather than auto drafting bpa for any team that is not around. Teams can make up those picks after the draft. That is why lists will be very important. The draft will have to go fast and smooth to make sure we are done before the season starts but it is easily possible if we all work together and maintain our lists. Teams must be cap compliant prior to the start of the season. Once drafted players cannot be dropped or bought out. So pick well. There are no mulligans. As I think of more I will post. Creates his own league Honestly it is more because the great group of core GM's from our old league wanted to keep ours going but getting GM's to join an existing league is very difficult to do.
