Derp...
I wonder what changes will be made to the lineup? I would hope that Mackenzie gets in. I want to see him in game action. Guy has some serious weight behind him.
Guest Dasein
What I want to see: Horvat playing better and shutting down the diminutive Petan, Shinkaruk playing better after shaking off the rust, Corrado bouncing back with a strong game What I don't want to see: The Petan & Ehlers Show featuring Josh Morrissey

Rollieo Del Fuego
Want to see; Another strong game from Horvat, he lost one important faceoff last game, he won most every other FO let's make it 100% faceoff wins same as his corner battles from last game. Horvat is a bull.
Guest Dasein
Want to see; Another strong game from Horvat, he lost one important faceoff last game, he won most every other FO let's make it 100% faceoff wins same as his corner battles from last game. Horvat is a bull. I don't know where you get that from - Horvat wasn't actually strong in the FO department last game. He lost two faceoffs that led to a goal each and he also lost the last faceoff of the 3rd period on the PK against Draisaitl that would have led to a final-second chance if Blaine didn't stuff the Oilers player's shot. I suspect Draisaitl doing well on the faceoffs had a small part in Green starting Jensen (a winger) instead of Bo on the PK to start the OT.. 100% faceoff wins is unreasonable. If he wins some key ones in the defensive zone and goes around 60%, that's a solid night. He should have no problems since it's Petan (5'9" 175lbs) instead of Draisaitl (6'1" 200+lbs). NotaSmartMan
Missed the first game. Going off what you guys are saying, it wasn't very good... It wasn't terrible, but it had definite room for improvement. First 20 our guys were getting hammered, I think shots were something like 2-18. Last 40 there was some decent effort in there though. No one hugely stood out in my opinion, and that is what I'd like to see for today; someone really showcasing what they have to offer.

Derp...
Top 6 Lineup projections are: Shink Horvat Jensen Fox Valk Zalewski The Vancouver Canucks look to hit the win column at the 2014 Young Stars tournament as they take on the Winnipeg Jets on Sunday afternoon in Penticton, BC. The game can be seen live on Canucks.com starting at 2:00 p.m. It will be a big night for Okanagan product Jackson Whistle as he gets the start between pipes for the Canucks. The Kelowna, BC product has played the last two seasons with the Kelowna Rockets after starting his junior career with the Vancouver Giants. There will be no changes up front as the Canucks only have 12 healthy forwards available. Based on practice Saturday, it looks like Nicklas Jensen will start the game on a line alongside Bo Horvat and Hunter Shinkaruk, while Dane Fox was skating with Curtis Valk and Michael Zalewski. Mackenze Stewart, the Canucks seventh round pick in 2014, will make his Young Stars debut on the blue-line tonight. The Canucks will face a Jets roster that has a lot of skill, including 2014 first round pick Nikolaj Ehlers, 2013 first-rounder Josh Morissey and WHL superstar Nic Petan. The Jets also have a handful of players that spent last season in the American Hockey League. Defenceman Brenden Kichton, who registered 240 points in his last three seasons in the WHL, is a player to keep an eye on after he put up a solid 48 points in his rookie campaign in the AHL last year. Adam Lowry, son of former Canucks forward Dave Lowry, is also coming off a solid rookie season in the AHL along with former Kamloops Blazer, JC Lipon. Posted on the pregame writeup "Based on practice Saturday, it looks like Nicklas Jensen will start the game on a line alongside Bo Horvat and Hunter Shinkaruk, while Dane Fox was skating with Curtis Valk and Michael Zalewski." 1. Love that Jensen is playing with those 2, should have been that way game 1 2. Surprised that Gaunce was dropped off the top 2, only one game but not a strong endorsement, but Valk was their best forward last game and deserves to be in the 2nd slot. 3. Looking forward to seeing Ehlers play, too bad Virtanen isn't in where we could compare them!
