Tearloch7
I would think that this is the game that Shink had pencilled in on his calendar .. I hope he 'light's the Flames' up ..
Primal Optimist
Youngstars is a nice taste, but this fan is happy that today is the last game and players will move on back to the Vancouver area with main camp not that far away! There is a huge distinction between the best 100 in the NHL...the middle 250..the last 500..and then these kids. I like to watch the best play the best, not 3 or 4 of the best of the younger guys make fools out of the rest of the younger guys. For me young stars is about showing off your 1 or 2 future stars against the other teams 1 or 2 future stars with 20 other guys in each uniform involved simply so that a game of hockey can occur. Cynical?

Guest Dasein
Gaudreau better be marked hard. Gadreau's a winger. I suspect Jensen will draw up against him.
CRAZY_4_NAZZY
Need to see a full 60 min effort from the boys. That are bright spots, but come up very late in the game. A complete game is what I want to see regardless of who is the winner. Consistency is what needs to be hammered home if any of the kids want to make the jump to the pros. I'm hoping with a little more fire power on the flames with Bennett and Gaudreau guys like Horvat, Gaunce, Zalewski will play a harder tight game on them while Valk, Shinkaruk and Jensen dominate offensively. -Vintage Canuck-
Young Stars preview: Canucks vs. Flames: The Vancouver Canucks look to close out the 2014 Young Stars Classic on a winning note as they take on the Calgary Flames tonight in Penticton, BC. The game can be streamed live on Canucks.com starting at 5:30 p.m. The Canucks have yet to lose in regulation, dropping their first two games of the tournament in overtime, including an exciting 5-4 loss to the Winnipeg Jets Sunday afternoon. Austin Lotz is expected to get the start in goal. The Everett Silvertips netminder made 29 saves on Friday night against the Edmonton Oilers. Look for defencemen Jeramie Blaine and Evan McEneny to slot back into the lineup after sitting out Sunday. Free agent invitee Curtis Valk will look to add to his tournament leading three goals, while teammate Hunter Shinkaruk also sits in a tie for second place in the tournament scoring race with three points (2-1-3). The Flames, who sit at 1-1-0 through two games, have gotten strong play out of 2014 Hobey Baker winner Johnny Gaudreau along with 2014 first-rounder, Sam Bennett. Calgary also has some size in their lineup, led by Keegan Kanzig and Hunter Smith, who are both listed at 6-foot-7. http://canucks.nhl.com/club/news.htm?id=730488

KassianBeastMode
Looking forward to see how Bennett plays... Want to see Hunter take the next step back now that he's getting comfortable and drive the play Jensen needs to pot one and also play like he has the experience he has Horvat, do something noticable please, not just be 'solid'...let us see what you actually can bring when you want it Gaunce, play your role...smart checking leave it at that Fox - lets see some snipage Corrado, wake up Valk - keep doin what yer doin Subban - same as Valk (if still in) Cederholm if in, lets see a scrap Love to see Lotz steal the show again and earn himself a contract if not with us, with another AHL team

Soren5556
Hopefully Shink and Jensen continue the chemistry they showed yesterday and have another strong game. I would also like to see Horvat step up a little more as well as Corrado.
