Recommended Posts

Not your typical proposal....... I think the Canucks , Jackets and Penguins could make a fair three-way deal, using these players as a base starting point for discussion.

Using the following players as a base , and by adding more players can you help me make a fair proposal for all 3 teams???

Nucks

Johansen

Jackets

Sutter

Higgins

Pens

Bonino

Markstrom

using these guys as a base for a trade, i think this is fair

Nucks

Johansen

Calvert

Sutter

Higgins

Pens

Bonino

Why would the canucks trade away a player they just acquired.

um to make the Canucks better. to bring in a hometown player to help season ticket sales.

Its not like they actively sought out Bonino, they were forced to trade for him because there options were limited by Kesler. Bonino was Bennings best option available, not necessarily what he wanted.

Van: Johansen, Depres, Pit 3rd

Columbus: Sutter, Higgins,Van 1st, Pit 1st

Pittsburgh: Bonino, Markstrom, Jenner, Columbus 2nd

thanks for the input . its interesting .

Columbus says no. they are not giving up Jenner and Johansen, there 2 best young players.

Pittsburg would say yes

Canucks would say yes

but Despres is left handed, would be takin Sbisa spot on depth chart unless they go with to leftys for the 3rd pairing

Maybe, Johansen asks for a trade. Personally, I think the issue with Johansen is he refuses to sign a long term deal. He probably doesn't want to live in Columbus longterm.

im a CBJ fan... johansen wants a long term deal but wants to be payed like 30 goal scorer (which he should be because chances are in the next 5 years he will average high 30s per season probably a couple 40 goal seasons too) but cbj for some reason wants a bridge contract like subban...(even thou it clearly bit montreal in the ass) they just dont want to pay him like a 30 goal scorer until he does it at leased twice... so its not an issue of johansen not wanting to be there.

Actually, Johansen wants a long term deal but Columbus isn't willing to give it to him. RJ's been asking for 4 or more years and CBJ's been reluctant to even go to 3. That said, if there's any damage from these negotiations then it could come to a trade.

Well thats one way to go on the do not return call list...Personally im not sold on Johansen...Look at E. Kane in 2011 had 30 goals 57 points and other then that he has never cracked the 20 goal mark and 43 points his next highest

1 year does not make a deal fair for us incase he regresses while paying what Columbus would want if he stays on point

Both are absolutely atrocious for Columbus and it's a joke you think they'd even consider either of them. The minimum it would take to get them talking would be Horvat+1st.

how about leave Pitt outta this and deal directly with CBJ.

To CBJ:
Gaunce, Vey, Hansen and Corrado

To VAN:
Johansen and 2015 3rd?

Is that fair value? Having really good 2 way centre prospects in Horvat and McCann, I think we can afford to part ways with Gaunce and Vey.

lol neither is this. That's a big time overpayment for a guy who's had ONE good season. I would just tell CBJ to pay him and hang up if that's what they asked for.

Before last season he had a mere 33 points in 107 games. And even last season, its not like he averaged a point a game. 63 points in 82 games is good, not great or elite

You realize his age right?

I'm not agreeing with that price either, however your proposal is pretty bad. Not one player you offered really has value.
