Bad-Brad
With the Canucks currently having 3 NHL caliber goalies on 1 way contracts on their team, do you think Lack could be the 1 traded? Don't get me wrong I love Lack on our team, I think he is a great goalie, person and teammate, but he has definitely greater trade value than Markstrom currently does. Plus Rollie Melanson must value the work he has spent working with Markstrom and is liking the results that he is seeing as they seem to be determined to keep all 3 currently on the team. Any thoughts?
JeremyCuddles
Miller Probably Lack, if Markstrom starts proving he can actually play in the NHL. Lack is older and probably deserves a shot on a team lacking a goalie. I really hope we trade Markstrom though, if a trade happens at all. Lack is a funny guy, and is a great back up. Seems like a good guy to have around.
M A K A V E L I 96
Trading Lack doesn't make much sense. Miller probably has 2 decent years left in him and by that time Lack will be hitting his prime and ready to take over as the #1.
Me_
Looks like the Canucks are going to carry three goaltenders. Don't remember if it's Willie or Benning that said it.
TOMapleLaughs
In the end, hopefully all of them. Demko is the future.
Bad-Brad
I know I don't like the thought but I can see it happening. Lack is ready or extremely close to being ready for prime time, and shouldn't have to wait until Miller's contract is up. Markstrom has talent just needs some refining and Rollie seems to like what he sees.... so keeping Lack may not be such a priority. Plus in 3 years we could have Thatcher Demko making a hard push to be on our team.
Akillys
Keep all three and trade miller at the deadline for picks and/or prospects.
TheRussianRocket.
I personally think neither. They can be sent down to the minors without being claimed 1 week prior to the start of the season as can any player. But if one is to go, I'd say Markstrom though I wouldn't want him to leave. hockeyking
Carrying 3 goalies all but assures 1 rookie/young player will not make the team. why you you can always waive sestito and Sanguinetti then their will be one roster spot available for a rookie/young players. TheRussianRocket.
Carrying 3 goalies all but assures 1 rookie/young player will not make the team. No one carries 3 goalies. It's just plain stupid at the NHL level.
YEGCanuck
Is another scenario one of the 2 backups comes down with an injury?
Chalky
I can't see a way that Lack is not traded. Rollie Melanson is keen on Markstrom and they have done a bunch a work. There is no chance (IMO) that if waived he makes it to the AHL. We will need to the roster spot open to keep scratched forwards around. I don't think there is any point in carrying 3 goalies during a rebuild and I will be questioning WTF Benning is doing if he does. Lack has the value, so Lack is the trade. They are all waiver eligible. There is no magical can loophole to bury NHL vets.
nuck nit
Agreed. Need decent return of value. Need Markstrom to prove himself and gain NHL experience. Lack is a valuable piece to be dealt when the time and return is greatest.

topbananas
whats with all this trade/waive Sestito nonsense? Be a big mistake to let him go.As for who gets traded, one of them will, 100% and unfortunately I think it will be Eddie. I cant see us getting much in return for Markstrom. What do you guys think Eddie is worth?
