What do you think about the new food at Rogers?

Linden did promise that they were going to optimize the fan experience at Rogers arena after all. I was at the Canucks/Sharks game so I took the chance to sample a few of the new menu items. I have to say, I was pretty impressed! My winner of the night was a pulled pork grilled cheese sandwich. As far as arena food goes, it was definitely some of the best I've ever had.

I was just wondering if anyone else had a chance to make it to a game yet and if so, did you try anything new and how would you rate it?

I don't care how much that costs all I know is that I need that inside me.

The food at the ACC is pretty good so I would be surprised if the Rogers Centre food doesn't improve greatly. There are some really solid choices at the ACC. Are they opening any new sit down restaurants also?

MLSE can't run a good sports team but they certainly do run a strong venue so good for the Canucks for taking their chef!

Who in their right mind eats food at a hockey game, lol?

Just kidding. I'm sure it is very reasonably priced.

One question. I've never really had pulled pork, maybe the idea of someone pulling their pork and eating it isn't appetizing, I don't know but why exactly is it named pulled pork? Is it because they pull it off the bone or something?

It's called pulled pork because when it is ready (after cooking for hours at low heat) it is pulled apart by forks.

It is usually made from boneless pork shoulder.

Have the beer prices gone up or down? I also love the hot dogs they sold before. Anyone try the new ones?

I've actually read that beer prices are so high at sporting events so that people don't drink as much. So people have 1 or 2 beers and stop, so they don't drive home drunk.

This. First time at Rogers for yesterdays game, glad we shut the Lames out. Beer is priced roughly around $8 a can. No more plastic cups so that's a win. I had a double double burger with fries from White Spot for around $10. It was alright. Popcorn which was stale and cold for $5.50 and a large water downed orange crush for $5.50.

Also a bottle of water is $4.50. Save your money and eat before or after the game.
