SuperReverb2
How is this possible? I thought it was the Canucks or Junior? Confused.
DeNiro
No, he was assigned to Utica.

Rounoush
How long are conditioning stints allowed to be? 2? 3 games?
73 Percent
How long are conditioning stints allowed to be? 2? 3 games?2 weeks. As many games that are in that schedule.
2009cupchamps
How long are conditioning stints allowed to be? 2? 3 games? 2 weeks. I believe the comits play 6 games in that span, and no those games do not count against his 9 games.
Jack Fig
Good decision. Benning said he will get his 9 games here to show his stuff.
blackpluto96
This is a good scenario, playing the first pro games in the AHL rather than straight into the NHL and see how he does.
Jägermeister
Yeah this actually might have been the best way this could have played out. 6 games in the AHL to get adjusted, and by then he'll be a bit more ready for his tryout with the 'Nucks. JeremyCuddles
Wasn't Drouin sent down for Tampa too? Good to see how he fairs in Utica, and get game ready.
homersexual
I think I heard the coach say he will be down for 3 games.
Hairy Kneel
I like the move to get some pro starts (he should really be eligible for AHL action because he's seen everything he can in junior)
Warhippy
love to see him get his 6 games in Utica (full sched) and then his free 9 in the NHL before/if they send him down. That kind of serious look see will do wonders for both him and Benning/WD to see what they've got ahead of them
Nuxfanabroad
^Wouldn't even mind if they kept him for those 15, then lent him for the Wjr's.. Plan on him for full-time after the mid-season. Then we can fully evaluate which depth-vet(or two) we can sell off.
messier's_elbow
2 weeks. I believe the comits play 6 games in that span, and no those games do not count against his 9 games. If he gets 6 AHL games in before his 9 games in van, that is the best possible outcome.
Outsiders
I thought he was only going down for a week and playing 3 games?
King Heffy
Yeah this actually might have been the best way this could have played out. 6 games in the AHL to get adjusted, and by then he'll be a bit more ready for his tryout with the 'Nucks. Agreed. Blessing in disguise really.
rawkdrummer
Positive move for Horvat and the Canucks. Major junior is not the place for him to develop further except perhaps the World Jrs. Personally if he wasn't playing for the Canucks this year I would of considered trying our MODO Sweden connections so he could at least play against men.
