HC20.0
So, Sbisa's abysmal play so far has to ask a question, is the number 5 cursed? Last players to wear the number: Bryan Allen: Very solid defensive defenseman, not really worth being taken 4th overall in his draft year. (though 98 was a fairly weak draft.) Otherwise good player. Lukas Kraijcek: Came back in the Lu trade... Not exactly a stud defenseman... Or anything close.... Ossi Vaananen: Haha who remembers him? Played like, 4 games? Cristian Ehrhoff: Probably the best D to wear the number. Quarter backed our PP to first in the league. Bolts after 2 seasons. Marc-Andre Gragnani: Like Vaananen, who remembers him? Came back in the Coho/Kass deal. So bad that he didn't get a QO at the end of the season. Jason Garrison: Brought in to be our new Salo. Really was not spectacular, and our PP was abysmal with him on it. Nobody was sad to see him go really. Luca Sbisa: Only a handful of games played, looked abysmal in both the preseason and the regular season so far. We'll see how he progresses. The number 5 seems to be cursed with bad players or luck.... Ehrhoff wore the number proudly, but ditched us for cash and a "Stanley Cup" in Buffalo. Really, we haven't had a reliable number 5 Since Bryan Allen.
Gstank29
I think sbisa needs to sit out a couple of games. Lets see what corrado can do
canucklehead44
Ummm no. Garrison wasn't bad at all. Between Allen, Garrison and Ehrhoff that is a pretty long stretch of solid dmen wearing that number. Sbisa is new to the team, cut him some slack. He was a +2 going into this game, and all of our D have had stretches of looking terrible this year. On a happy note after Edler looked like he was going to repeat least season with his -2 performance in the first game but now has 4 points, +4, 16 shots over his last 6. 10 hits and 13 blocks on the season as well. BanTSN
Could have kept Ehrhoff if we wanted to open up the checkbook. Not sure how it's a curse that he left for a ton more money.

etsen3
Damn, if only had changed my number to 99 in my minor hockey days. I'd probably be tearing up the NHL right now.

RU SERIOUS
I've been suspect of Sbisa since day one and will go on limb right now and say he won't be here next year.

The trade was Coho and Sulzer for Kassian and Gragnani. Do your homework once in awhile.
Salmonberries
The trade was Coho and Sulzer for Kassian and Gragnani. Do your homework once in awhile. I think it's a perfectly good idea for a thread HC20.0 It has been a number traditionally worn by lesser lights, no question.
