seriously? idiots don't understand my point? looking at you raspberries. I have no problem hearing the same goal song over and over again. I am saying make it something that gets people going not some soft rock garbage

I don't think you'll ever please everyone which is why you shouldn't even have one.

Maybe some horn then some phew phew phew laser sounds, at like 90/sec.

Like almost sarcastic lasering

no I don't raspberries, I want nothing more than to see the canucks score goals and win games. but I guess I have offended you. go rub your U2 boner in the corner until it goes away, but I doubt it ever will

now, now-- there's no need to start attacking people just because your thread sucks D:

Watched the Canucks vs. Hurricanes tonight and was disappointed with what I heard. I might be biased here since I am not a U2 fan, but does anyone get pumped up while hearing U2 after a goal or a win? I don't and I think there are better options. Thoughts and suggestions?

I don't notice the goal song on TV, and I like U2 but....

U2 is totally inappropriate for psyche up music, as a goal song? I can't think of one of their tunes that would work.

I like all kinds of music, but for goal songs you gotta whip out the Butt-rock, that's just the way it is.

I would have a problem if they went totally left fuel and played "ode to joy" or "pomp and circumstance" (Randy "Macho Man" Savage's old entrance music) bur if they want to play contemporary music they have to go with the Butt-rock or up-tempo hip hop (Which no one really makes anymore)

Look at ANH with "Bro Hymn" or CHI with "Chelsea smile" now those are goal songs!

My vote?

Either "Pomp and Circumstance" (I think the crowd would "duh duh duh" along with it)

Or keep it local, not Bryan Adams, but obscure, classic, local old school rock like Flash Bastard or Slow. Culture snobs would be blown away if they did that. Start either one at the chorus, and THAT'S a goal song!

Maybe the Canucks are contractually obligated to use that song for a specific time frame.

Maybe they used it because it appeals to a broader base than some of the songs you would have in mind.

Maybe you'll have to deal with it.
