I have to say, a small amount of these weren't necessarily catcalls. I smile and nod or say hello or good morning to people as I walk my dogs in the morning no matter the gender. Anyways, I don't see it happening a lot in Vancouver but some of those dudes were CREEEEEEPY! especially the one who kept asking if it was because he was ugly. No dude, it's because you are a rapist, now go self castrate.

Yeah I didn't count but a not small amount where simply people saying hello.

Some where certainly flirtatious (though I don't see a problem with that personally).

Then some were initially flirtatious but became too aggressive particularly when it was clear she was not reciprocating.

Some were overly aggressive off the bat.

Then there was the downright creepy dudes who should be maced (I'm looking at you silently stalking beside her guy and Mr. too ugly).

Well, we're kind of a different story, since the city has a reputation for being unfriendly anyways, but I digress.

Anyways I have a hard time taking this video seriously.

How is it harassment if someone tells you to smile when you're scowling though? Also some of them who were saying hi may have been in sales or something (like one guy in purple who said I found $1000 or something along those lines), so not sure how those automatically count. She may be curvaceous but you have to look at the context of the interaction (or other people speaking) to tell if it's what she says it is.

Well I guess you're sexually harassing everyone you encounter.

apparently i also sexually harass everyone in my neighbourhood i pass when walking my dog or when out for a walk with my daughter. I'm Canadian, and i'm from a city where we didn't bother locking our door 99% of the time. saying "hi" to everyone you pass or smiling and nodding (when you don't feel like talking) is just the polite thing to do. are you supposed to pretend you don't see the person or acknowledge they even exist?

Other than the locking door thing....ditto.

I make a point to say hello to people when I'm walking, it's just friendly.
