linden17 Posted October 30, 2014 Share Posted October 30, 2014 Who would love if next season for one game the Canucks skated out in the home white skate logo jerseys? I for one would love this. With all the retro jerseys making their rounds these days, i think it would be something to see. Possibly a choice for a third jersey in future years. It does represent some of our teams greatest times and as much as the stick in rink logo is our first jersey, the colour scheme is ours right now. To me it doesnt serve much justice to have our third jersey that right now. Am i the only one that is bothered by looking up into the rafters and seeing all the banners we won prior to 97 and seeing the current Canucks colours? Those banners were meant to go up and stay up. But now they are the current colours. Should they not be the same banners that went up in the coliseum and early gm place days? After all the team was those colours then and still sell those jerseys in the team store. Im curious to hear your thoughts. I just think we should honour those teams and player and fans with the colours and jerseys that were worn. we shouldnt shy away from it. Im proud to bust out my old jerseys and such. Ultimately it would ge great to have the stick in rink logo as our main jerseys with the orca as a shoulder patch and the skate logo as our third. Smyl's jersey should be the red, yellow and black? I like having the uniform looking banners. It adds some consistency to our already sloppy identity. Not to mention our current banners look really nice. As for the skate jersey, I think it should stay in the past. It's great for nostalgia, but that's about all it's good for.
