Not when you compare it to other hits that are worse, and received nothing. The fact that Emelin returned to the game says that the hit wasn't that bad. Him being off balance made it look much worse. The issue for me isn't the amount of games Burrows got, it's that the league can seem to decide on what is/isn't suspendable or the lengths for an action. Emelin caused the contact to his head by trying to avoid the hit .. compared to other hits that were more blatant with not even a fine? .. double standard apparently. If you had watched the game, you would have seen about 30 calls that were not made against both teams, tho they gave the Habs all the PP's early .. Burr's first suspension *sigh* It's a shame Emelin was off balance and abruptly stopped to try and get back into position from his giveaway otherwise it potentially would have been a clean hit. It appears they are including the fines as previous history and increasing the suspension accordingly.WHen it comes to the Nucks, repeat offender appears to have a different meaning than with other teams. He was baiting the ref to make a call and how that wasn't interference at the very least is absurd.
