Piggy Bank Posted November 20, 2014 Share Posted November 20, 2014 Hop off the band wagon. Just stop. The guy has been useful... but useless in comparison to what was expected of him. The last 3 years he has been a consistent disappointment. Do you really see the guy becoming a proficient top 6 winger for us?? We have Daniel, Vrbata locked up for 2 of the 4 wing spots in the top 6. Replacements for Higgy and Bur in the future: -We have Jensen, Shinkaruk who are both looking much more promising that Zack. -We have Virtanen. An elite Zack Kassian. Same weight, still growing a bit height wise. (barely 18.) Faster. Hits harder. Shoots better. Plays his role properly. And has more attributes of an elite PF. -We have Vey, who will eventually be pushed to wing because of Horvat, and his play making tops Kassian's. Eventaully we will be something looking like: Daniel Henrik Vrbata Jensen Bonino Shinkaruk Virtanen Horvat Vey Still have McCann, Gaunce and Cassels coming.... where does Kas fit?? I remember several years back when the Islanders gave up on a player with very similar attributes in the early stages of his career... ...a guy named Bertuzzi.... You might define his career by that one incident, but I define it by his close to 1200 GP and almost 800 career points. BTW: The neck injury healed fairly quickly.
