carlweezer
Kassian is set to return within the next week from an arm injury and looking at the lineup who do you think will sit? Linden Vey has been playing on the 3rd line wing role for Kass but Vey is an important piece to the 1st unit PowerPlay. Vey has been a solid contributer thus far. Looking at the rest of the lineup, there is no way Willie's D sits Hansen, Dorsett, Mathias or Richardson. This leaves Bo as the possible odd man out with Vey sliding down to the 4th line Centre spot. What is your thought? Are you going to be ok with Bo sitting in the pressbox for lots of games this season? This might be the saving grace for TEam Canada as BO should be made available for them rather than sitting for the Canucks.
I.Am.Ironman
Ignoring the possibility of being sent to the WJC. I think Vey is actually the odd man out.
Lychees
I think our team is looking pretty good right now to break it up, especially for Kass who at times looks lost/nonchalant out there. Maybe send him a message by sitting him in the press box a few games when he's healthy

Junkyard Dog
Ignoring the possibility of being sent to the WJC. I think Vey is actually the odd man out. That's tough because he has improved his game, particularly in his own end after being scratched so many times.
Robongo
Zack Kassian seems the odd man out. This. Another injury is inevitable anyways. He won't be out for long, if at all

Such is life for a rookie. Horvat brings more to the table to the team IMO. His faceoff ability put him ahead of Vey on the depth chart in my books
canuktravella
trade is coming for another dman. we cant keep all of mattias richarson kass hansen higgins burrows horvat and vey next yr someone will be gone
Stackin'ThePads
I don't know what Willie is gonna do, but I wouldn't take Vey off that third line. Richardson and Vey have instant chemistry with each other, and having Vey's playmaking ability just makes that line more dynamic. Vey was reading Richardson and Matthias really well, some of those passes from Vey were really pretty. And I loved that little play between Vey and Richy that had John & John joking how they were the Sedins. Imo, Bo doesn't deserve to be pushed out either. Plaguez
Zack Kassian seems the odd man out. This. Guy is going to have to work his butt off AND hope someone starts playing terribly because I don't see WD sitting anyone as long as they are winning and working hard. Kassian isn't exactly an impact player who must be in the lineup.
carlweezer
trade is coming for another dman. we cant keep all of mattias richarson kass hansen higgins burrows horvat and vey next yr someone will be gone There is 0% we trade anyone in the bottom 6 ....this is literally the best bottom 6 in the NHL......definitely the best 4th line in the NHL. why would we mess with that? aGENT
Really we need to make a trade IMO. It's worked out well so far with injuries but really when we call guys like Jensen up they need to actually PLAY, not be a safety net sitting in the press box. Then sign a UFA to be 13th forward with Sestito out (and either waive or trade Sestito when he's healthy). There's plenty of journeyman guys who can fill in in a pinch would be happy as hell to collect an NHL paycheque, practice with the guys and make the best of his rare chances to actually play. trade is coming for another dman. we cant keep all of mattias richarson kass hansen higgins burrows horvat and vey next yr someone will be gone Yup. Dogbyte
It all depends on when he actually returns. If he returned now I'd sit him.
carlweezer
Kassian will not be the odd man out! he brings size and skill that we will need when we play team from California. Him developing is just as important for the Canucks future as Horvat developing. If Kassian develops to a premier gritty play making power forward then the value of that is not measurable, you cant acquire those types thru trades ... Because if we trade someone we still have one of the best bottom 6 in the league AND better defensive depth.

His faceoff ability put him ahead of Vey on the depth chart in my books I am not saying Horvat should be scratched for Vey. I am pointing out that Vey has improved from being scratched. Vey has probably gotten some one on one time with one of the coaches to help improve his game. Which is good. Maybe Kassian can benefit from this? He offensive ability looks greater than most of our players in our bottom 6 and he is still a rookie.
Down by the River
Nice problem to have. WD will figure it out. Kass definitely won't be back until the team starts losing. You don't mess with a winning lineup, terrible message to send to the bottom six guys. Despite being the odd man out, I really hope they don't trade Kass. Too young to be giving up on him.
