Sandro17
Power forwards take more time to develop. Normally what you'd do is you grab their stats and compare them to someone two years younger than they are who isn't a power forward. Kassian is a 23 year old power forward. This means that in terms of development, his stats should be compared to 21 year old non-power forwards to gauge him. Looking at other players nwho were 21 years old or are 21 years old, is he on par with his development?
Junkyard Dog
Well if he goes on another hot streak in the 2nd half of the season it will just prove consistency issues. So far he has been injured twice and has looked streaky when he has been healthy.
Dekey Pete
has he really even had a healthy stretch yet this year? I think not. I want to see him play 10-20 games injury/suspension free to get a feel for where he's at. So far this season he hasn't been able to stay in the line-up, through no fault of his own. TheGreatCanucks
I think more often than not, Kassian has looked noticeable. His stats may not show it, but usually when he has the puck, he's effective.
Chalky
I'd say there is no real accurate timeline. Some players take longer than others. I like Kassian, but I don't expect he is ever going to be a superstar. He's worth his contract at a minimum.

He's a big playmaker that will drop his gloves but he's in no way a power forward.

Tragoedia
Some players peak early, other players take longer to develop into something consistent. It all depends on the person and a myriad of other random factors.
Brewmaster12
He's got to be what he is expected, by many people here, because it is vey, Bo, or matthias are getting scratched because his in. For me he is a very big risk, say whatever CoHo it is, but he's gonna piss us so much if he doesn't pan out
Nuxfanabroad
Kassian is the type of big, hulking presence who may finally 'arrive' in the midst of a grueling PO series. He might score a couple huge goals, when skill is illegally(no calls from reffs) held to the perimeter. Do something with Sestito,10 x over, before giving up on ZK. Ossi Vaananen
I don't think Kassian will ever be the top line player people hoped for, but as an option for the middle 6 RW, he's awesome. Kassian brings that physical style of play that intimidates opponents and forces turnovers from nasty hits. He'll be good for us, not great. Dazzle
He's a much better passer than he is given credit for. I don't agree with the Power Forward assessment that is usually thrown at him. He's a big playmaker, similar to Jumbo Joe.

He plays a peripheral passing game, not particularly strong on the boards and not enough speed to really leave defenders behind. Even his checking has looked patchy. Many would say a PF that can score. Would Kassian be a PF that can pass?
