I watch every Canucks game, but I've got to say I'm disappointed with you guys. Miller has clearly been the better goalie this year, 16-5, played more of the workload, and although he has had some bad games, he has made some of the most clutch and game-saving saves that stats simply do not show. Now you guys have had a lot of goalies that were great, the only way you guys will go far in the Cup it to settle with a number one. Each time a goalie plays bad it's not the end of the world. Many teams have two great goaltenders, yet do not ever complain when one plays bad (Canadians, Bruins). Besides, didn't Lack start most of last year and was widely mediocre? I seriously cannot comprehend how I go to this forum to see the PGT, and see nothing but shit on Miller. I always thought the goalie controversy thing was blown out of proportion for Vancouver, but good God, I guess the most wins in the league doesn't mean anything. DeNiro Posted December 7, 2014 Share Posted December 7, 2014 Alot of fans can't seem to handle the ups and downs of a full season so they lash out at players. The goalie just happens to be the easiest target. That's just the way it goes in this sport. Miller's a big boy, he can handle a little criticism. He knows he needs to be better though. If everyone on this team brings their A game at the same time, this team is a pretty formidable one. In the losses this season, Miller clearly hasn't been at his best though. Fans will always hone in on that. That being said, I know Miller is a pro, and I fully expect him to put in the work to get his game where it needs to be. Most of all though, the thing that speaks the loudest are ticket sales, especially season ticket numbers. Nobody but the fans gives a da*n about CDC. Ted Black tried an interactive internet Q&A experience here in Buffalo and because of the idiot nature of the internet as a whole, he gave up on it after the second online session and just decided to use that limited time to dedicate a weekly Q&A with the fans on the radio where there's normal(ish) people. This is hockey, a professional sport. People are going to judge, blame, praise, etc.. players on their last game. There may be a minor amount of fan influence on a players decision whether they ask for a trade, but it is ultimately a business and these guys get grilled internally by coaches, management and owners for performing poorly. Just like anybody who has a job where they are expected to deliver results on a consistent basis. Also, are you completely blind to MTL fans heckling Price? Probably one of the toughest fan bases on their goalies.. But you chose to use them as an example of "not complaining" about their goaltending. A bunch of fans that cannot appreciate that a goalie has you in first in the West or contending for the entire year, yet they get butthurt whenever he plays bad. Cam Ward has truly had his shitty moments, but his clutch play got us a Cup. Did we get all salty when he let 7 goals in against Nashville? No. You guys can cry or get mad at me all you want if you think Lack should start or whatever, I just think you needed some truth nukes. - signed, a non-biased, level-headed Carolina fan.
