I am quite surprised that I haven´t found a thread about this 2015 draft eligible player. Furthermore, I follow his story which is quite unique so I´d like to share a little piece with you.

Eliteprospects bio:

The story behind:

Pavel was directed to do sport on the highest level since he was only few months old. His dad sacrified his own life and became Pavel´s coach in his childhood (wrote a book on how to raise a champion). He practiced different kind of excercises and did different kind of sports every day. He worked extremely hard but his dad let him to decide what sport he would like to focus on. Pavel chose hockey so the journey began. He was always the best player but things started to be more complicated as Pavel entered the Czech player development program.

Business, money, homeboy comments, professional and national team contracts. These difficulties destroyed many Czech talents in the process and as Pavel experienced the same in his first pro year (in Liberec he played less than 10 mins per game) in Czech Extraliga, he decided to come over to Canada to fullfill his dream.

Note: Pavel´s dad is now fighting against Czech ice hockey union for rights of players and parents.

This summer, he will be chosen in Top 10 during 2015 draft. I read so much about him that I know how hard working, physically exceptional player Zacha is. I don´t see Vancouver taking him due our presumed draft position. But the same I thought about Horvat in 2013.

Good luck to him, what an amazing father.

Yep, very unique. His father is actually in the center of attention right now.

Pavel's father started huge media discussion on his website. In deep article he disclosed underhand information of the Czech junior team. He even said that coach Miroslav Prerost hadn't wanted Pavel in his team and the management of Sarnia hadn't been able to understand his steps.

Unfortunately, his website is all in Czech language only.

Helluva Story, I'll be keeping my ears and eyes open for him during & after the draft.

To be fair, Sarnia is an awful team that just traded away their highest scoring player DeAngelo - a defenseman. It's never good when your leading scorer is a defender.

Zacha has the 2nd highest PPG on his team, and has the highest PPG among centers - he is only 3 points off PPG, which can either be caught up easily with a big game or widened by a stretch of bad games. I think he'll be able to catch up and remain PPG on the season.

The guy is 6'3" and 210 lbs. He skates well, plays a good 2-way game and supposedly has a great work ethic. If he falls out of the top 10, whoever picks him up is going to get a very good player, but I don't think he'll drop into the 20s like McCann did. Zacha and Barzal are two players who need a strong finish to remain in the top 10.

Two things:

1. He's a big center with tremendous speed, strength and skill.

2. He's out 3-5 weeks with a ubi.

We haven't picked up an impact Czech since Nedved, but I'm wondering if the Canucks are looking at this kid if a top defenseman isn't available to them come time for their pick. His point production isn't as amped-up as some other prospects in the OHL, and that's a bit of a concern, but there's no doubt he's the real deal, imho. He's the kind of prospect scouts and GM's drool over.

The other concern is his suspension history. Physical, but not the most disciplined player.

I wouldn't be worried about his point total. He's on a horrible team. Look at Virtanen for example, he put up exactly a ppg in his draft year but we all know he has limitless potential and tools. Zacha has all the tools to be an elite player. If he puts up ppg or over, that would be good

If we get Zacha I'll be stoked, he's a big guy who plays pretty hard. Kopitar would be his ceiling in my books.

I think he can be better than Kopitar

Not saying he will be for sure but that he has the potential to be imo
