Nuckstove
With the trade deadline 3 days away and the Canucks with 3 UFA's in Dorsett, Richardson, and Matthias, as well as only $2.4 million in cap space, there's no way we can sign all three in the offseason and still be under the cap. Do we sell one of them on Monday for something in return or do we just let one or more walk this summer? We discuss this and more in our latest podcast episode right here! http://nuckstove.podomatic.com/entry/2015-02-27T14_50_26-08_00

kloubek
Of the group, I say no way Dorsett gets moved. I'd say Matthias would get moved for the right return, but it would have to be something coming back that really helps the team. I wouldn't be surprised if Richardson was still here, but at the same time I wouldn't be surprised if he was traded as well. With the emergence of Horvat, I think he's become expendable. (Which is unfortunate, since I've grown to really like the way the guy plays most of the time) I would also like to throw Higgins in the mix, as I see him as being one of the most redundant players we have. With that said, he hasn't exactly been playing great so I imagine the return on him would be underwhelming.
Nucks-4-Life
Lol @ trading Matthias. He has worked his ass off for us all season long. Finally gets placed in a top 6 role. 2nd in goals on our team. If anything, he deserves a multi-year extension with us. I like Dorsett's game. He has good offensive instincts while still playing a "stiff" game. I say Richardson is odd man out with the emergence of Horvat, and Gaunce waiting to break into the NHL next season. smithers joe
i agree, they don't have to move anyone....unless benning can make a hockey trade ....benning has a vision for this team going forward...why screw up that vision to make dumb trades now.... Dogbyte
I'm pretty sure Richardson would have been traded if not injured but since he is no one.
Pears
Why on earth would we trade Matthias?
aGENT
Nobody. Move Higgins IMO and Richardson walks in the summer. Hopefully we can re-sign Matthias but I wouldn't be opposed to taking offers for him if the negotiation isn't going well.
Miltt
Lol @ trading Matthias. He has worked his ass off for us all season long. Finally gets placed in a top 6 role. 2nd in goals on our team. If anything, he deserves a multi-year extension with us. This. Amazing how well he has played most of the time. Even with all the inconsistancies of our team this year he does drive the net hard at times when the team looks o so disinterested. 2nd on the team in goals I don't think too many of us predicted that. I'd like to sign him 2 years $2.5 mill per or something like that. I'd like to see if Higgy can bring in any future, and wouldn't want Dorsett to be gone as when he is on his game he is a fantastic 4th line energy guy. Then again Kenins seems to fill that role pretty well too. Richardson I find in the same boat. I'd like to keep him because of what he brings to the table but at the same time we are winning tough games without him and he is the kind of guy who would bring in a nice return for his price tag. S N Y P E R S 7
I can definitely see a goalie moving. JB asks for a little less than too much, hits the deal bang on the head, boom. Deal done.

apollo
None should be moved. Unless it's Richardson packaged for Vermette.

aliboy
It comes down to how much will Matthias sign for, if it works, then keep him. In which case Richardson goes, as we need to re-sign Dorsett.

Kartboy16
From an earlier interview with Shawn's agent, it sounded like they weren't going to negotiate until the off-season. At this stage of our rebuild/retool, I can't imagine JB taking the risk of losing him for nothing. Especially seeing how much TO has been able to fetch for Winnik and Santo. Winnik for a second and a fourth on an expiring Contract?!?!! Crazy. This is a different conversation if they were in talks to sign an extension but it sounds like they want to test the market. I'll drive him to the airport for a first and a fourth...
Tystick
Out of those 3, Richy's most likely the one gone. Although IMO anyone is up for grabs if the deal makes sense for the team. Don't be surprised if we trade Kassian or Bonino (for example). We've seen this before with CoHo
TheSnipeshow91
Don't trade ritchie unless we get a 2015 4th+ 2015 conditional 3rd that turns into 2016 2nd if he resigns with team
zverta
Sedin - Sedin - Kassian Matthias - Bonino - Vrbata Dorsett - Richardson - Burrows Kenins - Horvat - Hansen Vey Higgins is the odd man out. Great if we can get a 3rd round pick or higher for him in 2015.
