Guys like Matthias are going to command way too much, and if we don't expect to be making a deep run, is there a point in keeping him around? Depending on what Richardson wants, I'd consider dangling him around and hoping you could get a 2nd and a 3rd for the two of them at the deadline (or something around there). Sell while the stock is high is what Im saying but the owners are telling Benning to give it all hes got to go deep so they can put more money in their pockets after this years attendance issues. samurai Posted March 1, 2015 Share Posted March 1, 2015 The nucks want to make the playoffs so Benning, won't be looking to sell unless there is some deal to good to pass by, nor will he want to add unless its on the very cheap.I could see one of bottom six D moving and there is still some speculation about Kassian, but the return on him would have to pretty decent for Benning to move him. I'd keep Corrado, Tanev, Kenins and Sbisa (unless someone makes a very good offer) but all of the others would be fair game. I'd also try and move a goalie... I would like to see how Markstrom would do in a backup roll but that will probably be a draft decision who they decide to trade off. Need Mathias's size going forward and he has been decent for the Canucks this year.. too many injuries to be sellers They should be in the playoffs... you don't become "sellers". There are some potential stud d-men the 2nd 3rd rounds and a lot of good forwards.
