Lonny_Bohonos_14
That sounds about right for value. I expected Petry to land a 1st due to the usual overpaying, so I am a bit surprised.
Mackcanuck
He won't be -25 with Price in net and being a #3-#4 Dman

Ryan Strome
Petry was one of the Oilers better defensivemen He was but they had to trade him, I highly doubt he would 're-sign with those losers in Edmonton. I like this deal from a Montreal perspective.
grandmaster
Yeah I get it, he played with the Coilers but he has to take some responsibility for his play too. Two back to back heavy minus years for a D man is troubling. He was also a minus player in the minors.

We are a playoff team and Bieksa is a -4 yet I see proposal after proposal claiming he could land us a 1st and a prospect...

Bieksa is a good d man, bit over rated, yet did get his plus/minus up to plus 32 one year.
Toews
Bieksa is a good d man, bit over rated, yet did get his plus/minus up to plus 32 one year. +/- is the most misleading statistic in the game. Jeff Schultz was +50 one year, would you want him on your team? There are better statistics to determine a player's quality.

theminister
Let's see if Edmonton can turn those picks into their next David Musil and Cameron Abney!!!
BanTSN
Pretty underwhelming return here. I hope those TSN guys who started at 5am got their fill of this blockbuster. lul

No, he really isn't. You just refuse to give him any credit because he's on the Oilers... Petry is a solid defenseman who will definitely improve MTL. EDIT: You know you can play a perfect shift, down to the last detail, and still end up with a -? +/- is a garbage stat.
