Weren't the colours supposed to come off as more aggressive or something like that? I remember watching the Canucks at home in yellow against Hartford in their away greens. Last year we had this same argument and everyone came up with uglier proposals. Everyone just wants the flying skate logo cause it reminds them of 94 but it is ugly as hell. Our current jersey is the best we have ever had in our history and it took 40 years of tinkering to finally get it right. If we end up changing it, we will be taking a huge step in the wrong direction. Don't fix something if it ain't broke. Also the amount of fans we had in 2011 was the most we ever had in our history and those fans all recognized our current logo. Changing the logo would be a bad move business wise as well. So you contradict yourself a little. You say it is nostalgia that is the cause of people wanting the Skate logo back, yet it was nostalgia that was the cause of the stick and rink jersey worn in 2011. So to say it took 40 years of tinkering is not quite accurate, as it is not far off from the original jersey worn by the franchise in the NHL. As far as the new logo, the Orca with VANCOUVER.. gawd awful and cluttered. The whale has always been the worst logo, especially with the gross Red and Blue alternate version from the WCE days. I would even take the Flying V over that. Someone mentioned also that it is time to start looking at the "younger" demographic. If it wasn't for us "old timers" and their devotion to the team in the mid 90's and the skate logo era, the younger demographic wouldn't even have a team to cheer for. You know, the era when fans would go to the game and you could actually hear them cheering, instead of looking at their phones. Before that era, the team was having a hard time selling tickets, and were on the verge of leaving town. They would have been gone. Eventhough I'm not a big fan of the Flying V jerseys, it made a hell of a lot more sense than having a whale logo on Vancouver's NHL team jersey that has nothing to do with the Canucks nickname. I'm totally for the current colours with Stick in Rink as the primary logo with Skating JC shoulder patches. Third alternate jerseys should be the the 94 Black jerseys with the Skate logo. It's not done perfectly (I used an online paint tool), but I think this jersey collection could be pretty sick. these are awesome!!! Remove the blue shoulder yokes on the whites. 2. Change Agency font on home and away set back to block font and add a green border. 3. JC V-head isn't necessary with V's on the arms.
