Jaimito
Lack is in. Kass and Richardson staying in Vancouver. Hope Nux can get at least a point. Forget about past seasons. Heck, forget the last meetings. Just win. http://video.canucks.nhl.com/videocenter/console?id=785462&catid=6 Match up this season: Apr 06 '15 7:00 PM PT at Canucks Mar 21 '15 1:00 PM PT at Kings Mar 12 '15 LAK 4 at VAN 0 Jan 01 '15 LAK 3 at VAN 2 Nov 08 '14 VAN 1 at LAK 5 Kings' Martinez back for key Pacific battle vs. Canucks Friday, 03.20.2015 / 7:07 PM Brian Hunter - NHL.com Staff Writer CANUCKS (40-26-4) at KINGS (34-22-14) Season series: The Los Angeles Kings have won the first three against the Vancouver Canucks, outscoring them by a 12-3 margin. Anze Kopitar and Tyler Toffoli each have two goals and four points to lead the Kings. Jonathan Quick has a .944 save percentage against the Canucks. Canucks team scope: Forwards Zack Kassian (back) and Brad Richardson (ankle) aren't on the trip. Vancouver is in second place in the Pacific Division, but two points are all that separate the Canucks (84), Calgary Flames (83) and Kings (82), the latter of whom enter Saturday ninth in the Western Conference standings. Vancouver is 1-6-1 against Los Angeles over the past two seasons. "We have to prove we can play with them," defenseman Kevin Bieksa said in comments tweeted by the Canucks. "It's an easy game to get up for with us both pushing for the [stanley Cup] Playoffs." Goalie Eddie Lack, pulled from a 6-2 loss Thursday to the Columbus Blue Jackets after allowing five goals on 30 shots, struck an optimistic tone Friday. "It's a new, beautiful day in the life of a hockey player. We had a good practice today and we're excited for the Kings," said Lack, who will get the start. Kings team scope: Defenseman Alec Martinez, out since early February because of concussion-like symptoms, was activated off injured reserve Friday. Los Angeles trails the Winnipeg Jets by two points for the second wild card into the Stanley Cup Playoffs in the Western Conference, and has played one fewer game. The Jets host the Washington Capitals on Saturday. The Kings come off a 3-2 overtime loss Wednesday to the Anaheim Ducks. Jeff Carter scored his 25th goal, reaching that mark for the seventh time in the past eight seasons. This is one of four home games remaining for the Kings in the regular season. They begin a five-game, eight-day road trip Monday, starting against the New Jersey Devils. They visit the New York Rangers on Tuesday and the New York Islanders two nights later before closing with games against two tough Central Division teams, the Minnesota Wild and Chicago Blackhawks. YEGCanuck
Get over yourselves and get behind our team. Think positive. We can do this, we just need to focus and play it minute by minute.

DIBdaQUIB
Interested to see how this group responds to Willie's comments after the last effort. As close to calling out the payers as we will likely ever see. This core group convinced JB and company they could still get it done...it's gut check time for this core. LIke Willie said...no reason not to show up and play your best in an important game like the CBJ one and at this time of year, what you see on the ice is the team you are until you prove different. Pretty strong words from a guy like WD.
wai_lai416
i predict less than 20 shots from the canucks.. that seems to be the magic number each time we play the california teams
Tortorella's Rant
lol we're done. Then we have to play them again before the season is out. And the Blues. And the Preds. And the Jets x 2. Wow. And those games we choked away against the Devils, Jackets, and Sabres could really cost us..

Heretic
To suggest that the Kings have owned the Canucks in recent years would be an understatement. Since the 2012 playoffs, Los Angeles has won 12 of 16 games against Vancouver, including all three meetings this season. Farhan Lalji has more ahead of their Saturday matchup. http://www.tsn.ca/video/canucks-hoping-to-halt-losing-ways-against-kings-1.236338 Go Canucks....Go? Honky Cat
I think the Canucks will respond with a good effort after that poor effort against CBJ...will it be enough to beat the Kings?....It seems that when we play them its like they throw a blanket over the team...if the Canucks go down by a couple early, they'll be hard pressed. Brad Marchand
1969-0 LA. Jonathan Quick records 210 hat tricks, Dustin Brown hits and injures all 18 Canucks skaters from behind without being penalized once, Shorthouse, Garrett, Dan Murphy, the coaching staff, and the Kings mascot are forced to play in their place. Lack and Markstrom set fire to the net after goal 1968, resulting in a fire that destroys Staples Center. An extra goal is puzzlingly rewarded to the Kings.
