The playoff race is basically between Van, Cgy, Win, LA

Minni is pretty much safe with a good ROW and currently 87 points I can see them slipping to Wilcard 2 at worst.. SJ is not going to make it.

Between Van, Cgy, Win and LA, we have a pretty big advantage in terms of ROW which means, team's have to actually beat us by 1 point.

Jets have the toughest schedule out of the 4 teams gunning for the last 3 spots.

Wildcard 1 will be Minni so the spots up for grabs are Pacific 2, Pacific 3, and Wildcard 2

Van looks safe if we go 5-6 for the remainder of the season. Pretty much a lock if we go 6-5 or even 5-5-1

Must win games are, Phx x 2, Avs, Stars, Oilers. All we need then is just 1 win in 6 games against playoff teams.

The Canucks definitely control their own destiny and it would be a pretty massive choke job if they don't make it.

So then I would say the final 2 spots are between, Winnipeg, Calgary and LA.

We play Winnipeg twice and my only fear is that we don't get hurt before the playoffs while they are in desperation mode figthing off LA for the final spot.

Winnipeg will most likely be safe if they go 6-4 . They only play non playoff teams twice Avs and Oilers and will be in tough for their remaining 8 games. They do play the Nucks twice and this could be a brutal 2 games for Vancouver in terms of remaining healthy heading into the playoffs.

LA needs to most likely go 8-3 if the Jets go 6-4.

Cgy needs to go 6-3-1 or even 7-3 to fight off LA.

The main thing is, Van won a HUGE game tonight in regulation that really helped their chances. They just have to make sure that they give an honest effort against non playoff teams for the remainder of the season.

I HAVE A FUNNY FEELING- Calgary is going to get jinked lol

It may come down to the april 9th game.

Judging by the schedules, i would think the flames can stay ahead of the Kings. Kings have 8 road games left and they have played poorly on the road. Im just praying the Kings miss the playoffs

I want them to get the last wildcard spot. I'd love to see them beat up the Ducks.

After visiting the ducks message board it's pretty funny to see how scared the Ducks are of the Kings (rightly so).

Haha.. that would be nice, maybe in the second round ;)

Canucks have to at least win 6-7 games out of the remaining 11. They also have to beat the Kings, Jets, and Stars in the process.

It's going to be so nerve wracking but hopefully this team doesn't fall off the rails, if we can string together a couple of 3 game winning streaks and beat the right teams in the process then we should be good.

Also the Jets have been playing insane lately, they are clicking at the right time.

With 10/11 games remaining still far too close to call. We need to up our home form, that's the only way we can make sure. For some reason the team doesn't like playing in Vancouver.

Calgary seems to have the easiest run in to me and I would not be surprised if LA overpower most of these Eastern teams.

I don't like how it might come down to beating the Oilers in the last game for us, especially at home. A real banana skin but hopefully we have tied it up by then.

One game at a time and let's stop being complacent/arrogant against the "easier" teams.

Interesting fact:

Kings only have 3 home games remaining, and they do not have a great road record.

Interesting fact:

Last winner to miss was the Hurricanes (2006 winner missed in 2007/08 season). I would LOVE nothing more than for the Queens to miss, but I think they'll finish strong. In another thread I predicted:

1st - ANA (no brainer there)

2nd - VAN (99 pts)

3rd - LAQ (99 pts)

WC's to CGY and MIN

WPG craps the bed down the stretch and misses. Sadly in this scenario we face the LAQ in the first round.
