Keys to the Game

Keep attacking on the rush. For the first time in what seems like ages, the Canucks power play has some momentum. They've scored in consecutive games for the first time since January 1 & 3. They're looking to make it three straight for the first time since October. Vancouver went 0-for-6 against Winnipeg in their first meeting this season.

Get to Pavelec quickly. Ondrej Pavelec may be red hot right now but he has been known to be shaky. If he gets the call tonight, it'll be the first time he has started games on consecutive nights since November 15 & 16. The last time he did he gave up three goals on 11 shots in the first period and was promptly yanked in a loss to Minnesota.

The WSS line stays hot. It's no secret the engine that drives the Jets these days is the red hot trio of Wheeler-Scheifele-Stafford. Since being put together as a makeshift trio on March 14, the three have combined for eight goals and 17 points. The Canucks need to be wary anytime these three step onto the ice.

No buff or little expected for tonight vs the Oilers or us tomorrow. Gotta win this.

Although I'd prefer to lose a few games and finish 3rd in the division so we get home ice advantage.

Because if we finish 2nd and get actual home ice at Rogers Arena, it'll be a major disadvantage. This team clearly plays better on the road away from the funeral house that is rogers arena.

peca hit on selanne was so dirty back then he didnt have the puck for like 5 seconds.

peca sure could hit but that was dirty as f he really didnt have much of a career after van

Apart from the 2 Selke Trophies, a couple trips to the Finals(once as the Captain), an Olympic Gold Medal in 2002 and being one of the best defensive forwards of his era.

Last Canucks / Jets game was definitely a candidate for game of the year.

Fun fact: The Canucks have 21 wins against the East, most in the Western Conference. They also have 22 road wins. Again, best in the West.

Seeing as this is a home game against a Western opponent, none of those facts will come in to play.
