Steen
Which minor (non-star) player would you want on the Canucks? Why?Feel free to make up proposals to get them here, and lets see if we can find some gems.I'll add my list later after some discussion is had. goalie13
Isn't that the basic purpose of the entire proposals section?
hatedkid666
Most proposals are already not for minor players. Kind of a lazy random thread.
Aladeen
Well since signing Tanev, there is a good chance we are going to have to trade Sbisa. I would say a good option for a replacement would be Brett Bellamore depending on what it would take to get him. Low Cap Hit Big Hits Is a +4 on a crappy Carolina team Positive Underlying Stats. Of course promoting from within is more likely, so we will have to see what JB and Co. do in the offseason, but Sbisa and Bieksa are our only Dmen that hit so we need a Dman that will make opposing forwards thing twice about cutting to the net or going to dig pucks out of the corner in our zone. Just a thought: but if we trade Sbisa for a 2nd and a 3rd maybe that 3rd would be enough to get Bellemore? Or maybe Sbisa for Bellemore and a 2nd? IDK

Kind of a lazy random thread. My point was not to make a proposal, just to dream. I just want to hear what players you all are interested in, not necessarily how the Canucks could get them.I'll edit and add to discussion:One of the players I always like to watch is Cody Eakin out of Dallas. He plays hard and walks the line sometimes, while being effective offensively.
thejazz97
I think we have all the minor players we need atm.

Phil_314
Where would he fit with: Hamhuis Tanev EdlerBieksaSbisaCorrado Clendening Stanton If we can move Luca for a pick (unlikely offer sheet or dealing of rights) and trade Juice, I wouldn't mind seeing us moving Corrado as part of a deal for Trevor Daley (not sure he's "minor" but he's not a star like Benn or Seguin). I think that he'd really help with our back end scoring issue, as he's got the wheels and shot to be a difference maker. At $3.3 M that's also a decently low salary to take on for a mobile D-man who can create things off the rush for a slower D-group. Lastly, he's a naturally better right-side guy than left but was only put to the left to accommodate for Klingberg so I think he could be a fit with us if we move Juice. Edler - Tanev Hammer - Daley Stanton - Clendening Weber, (get another monstrous depth D-man for physicality) Maybe Sbisa's rights, Corrado and a 3rd? The cost to qualify Luca would already basically cover the cost to get Trevor, and we could move Juice to solve other problems.

22sedins33
Leo Komorov is a player that I've always loved to watch. There's a surprising amount of skill in his game and the man loves to hit. He'd be a better version of Dorsett for our team (although, he does have a higher cap hit which is a detractor).
canucklehead44
Ryan Reaves is huge, hits, and fights. Would be a great 4th liner. Casey Cizikas would also look good on the 4th line. 53% on faceoffs, plays a physical game, still young, and isn't hopeless offensively (17 points in 66 games).
