Anyone catch the cheap shot by Brett Ritchie on Sean Monahan last night?

Looked like a textbook butt-end to me, but as usual, the zebras were into "game management" mode and only assessed a high sticking minor.

The league is conspicuously silent a day later as well. Yet they claim to be trying to eliminate head shots.... :rolleyes:

No worries. I agree with yours too!

Absolute BS that the NHL doesn't seem to even be looking into it. Deserved a fine at the very least and that's after giving the "late in the season" discount that proves the DoPS cares more about some things more than player safety.

Player safety seems to be the last thing on their minds.

Not sure how they benefit from letting Ritchie get away with it. If anything, it'll just lead to more problems down the road.

It certainly seems that way. Not sure why they would let him get away with it because, as I said, it seems like the exact kind of avoidable head contact they say they're trying to get out of the game.
