Smiley2051 Posted April 3, 2015 Share Posted April 3, 2015 Vancouver Canucks General Manager Jim Benning announced today that the Canucks have recalled forward Sven Baertschi from the Utica Comets of the AHL. Baertschi, 22, has recorded 13 points (7-6-13) and four penalty minutes in 12 games since being acquired by the Canucks. He has also appeared in 15 NHL games this season with Calgary (0-4-4) and 36 with Adirondack of the AHL (8-17-25). A native of Bern, Switzerland, Baertschi has played 66 career NHL games and recorded 28 points (8-20-28) and 22 penalty minutes. The 5’11”, 190-pound forward was acquired by Vancouver on March 2nd in exchange for a second round pick in the 2015 draft. Has played incredible on Utica, scoring just one less goal in 12 games than he did with the baby Flames in 36. A whole level above anyone else we have on the farm. I hope it translates into the NHL.
