As for the rest of the draft, hasn't Benning already traded most of our picks? 2nd and 3rd only I believe. He stated he'll be working to get those back. If O'Connor signs, Markstrom should get us a 2nd. Someone like Higgins for example could also get us a later 2nd or early 3rd. With a full season of evaluation, its also possible JB decides to give up on Jensen or Gaunce and moves them for top 50 picks. With the amount of puck moving Dmen available around our pick, it wouldnt be such a bad idea to trade down a few spots to acquire a 2nd or 3rd. I personally think Harkins will be a bust. Konecny I hope falls that far. He's Horvat's first cousin. Debrusk i've only seen once, but he looks a future NHLer for sure. CALGARY! Posted April 28, 2015 Share Posted April 28, 2015 Id be targeting Chabot if he's available still in the first round, both from a Canucks and Flames point of view. I think this kid has some serious potential, and lots of talent yet to unlock. But Pilon has played really great D in a much tighter defensive league(WHL vs Q), so he would be a pretty good pick to stock up on the backend too me thinks.
