bobby loocid dreamer
There will of course need to be a few more moves to get rid of the dead weight but these two below mark the new direction. To NYI: Eddie Lack, Radim Vrbata To VAN: Griffin Reinhart, Joshua Ho-Sang, 2016 1st Why? The Islanders are close but it was painfully obvious they need a scorer to play with Tavares and their goaltending was suspect. This move puts them into the conversation as a Cup contender this year. The Canucks start the rebuild with a big mobile defenseman and a forward with top 10 talent and a 1st next year (may be 30th overall). To DAL: Henrik Sedin, Daniel Sedin, Kevin Bieksa To VAN: Jason Spezza, Julius Honka, 2015 1st Why? I know, I know- the Sedins are never going to leave. But if they decided they wanted to be legitimate Hall of Fame players, lifting the Cup is a must. Also, for the first time in a decade, they could be up against the opposing teams 2nd pairing which would make their last couple seasons extremely productive. Dallas's defense is young and green so Bieksa brings a lot of experience and stability. Coming back we get Jason Spezza- highly skilled but oft injured and a cap issue for the Stars. We would also land a blue chip prospect in Julius Honka and a 1st for this draft which is HUGE. Fast forward a few years and we could have Virtanen - Horvat - Ho Sang Jensen - McCann - Shinkaruk Bonino - Cassels - Gaunce Tanev- Honka Reinhart - Corrado Clendening - Subban plus 2 1sts this year and 2 1sts next year. THat is a deep prospect pool.
thejazz97
NYI says no and if the Sedins want to win a cup, then don't trade Bieksa with them. Sorry mate.

bobby loocid dreamer
probably a big ask in the trade with NYI. Top 6 scorers are expensive to acquire though. Comparable players with comparable contracts are Vanek and St Louis. Both players landed a solid player and a 1st and another good pick. And sacrificing the future for a chance to win now is Wang's style. He said it at the end of the season- the fans deserve a winning team. This would help them win. Warhippy
So a goalie with 1 year left on his contract and an aging winger with 1 year left on HIS contract net us a recent top 5 defensive pick a pick most wanted in the 1st round AND a 1st round that the Isles don't own this year so i will assume is a 2016? BUT! The Sedins AND Bieksa get us only Spezza and his never breaking 100 points in his career, a 1st round middle of the pack defensive pick with small size and a 1st this year? Hell let's keep the twins and ship of Vrbata and Lack and profit! While we're at it let's make two more trades like that and we'll have a dynasty in place for spare parts by the time the twins retire!

slappipappi
The Ismanders have goalie issues that lack will solve. Halak had one of the best stat lines in the NHL last year. And his .926save % in the playoffs indicate he wasn't he problem.
Bo knows
Maybe if we gave up the Sedins we could get Andrew wiggins and Sam bennet
