Anyone pick this up yet? What do you think?

Enjoying it so far, love the selection of BMW's. My first racing type sim so it's got a pretty steep learning curve for me (I'm not using any of the boosts like traction control/ABS//etc.).

Got it on XBox one and in the same boat having the most issues so far with the karts and the clio cup cars so far. They're too twitchy and im still adjusting to find a good balance for them.

Having success in the Formula Rookie and Mercedes EVO GT series so far.

nice! You're right the cars are twitchy- redlining in 1st or second and the car is sideways! I haven't tried adjusting tire pressure to help with the huge oversteer I'm getting in the e30 M3 (only car I've tried so far). I've only been doing practice runs so far- still trying to get the hang of it

So far i have found the Escort historic quite difficult as well but still nothing as bad as the clio under the current settings.

I'll hold judgement on the Lotus 72D as I drove it in heavy rain and fog so that may have contributed to my sucktitude with it.

Man this game is really dependent on tuning properly. Finally getting better response after messing around with tire pressure and brake balance. When I get the car sideways though it's tough to keep it drifting without spinning out or sliding into the rails.

Yeah, I'm going to keep messing around with brake balance and tire pressure to see if I get decent grip. Another thing is I don't know if the handbrake is working properly? There doesn't seem to be an animation for it, and I don't notice the brake grabbing when I press the handbrake on my controller.

Great game but man is the learning curve ever steep. Gonna finally mess around and try some other cars

I don't have this game, but I saw this on Reddit: http://www.reddit.com/r/PS4/comments/35r12h/for_those_of_you_using_the_ds4_with_project_cars/

Some tuning tips and stuff.

Thanks for the link- I didn't even see a brake/steering sensitivity option.

One thing I noticed is that there is about a 1-1.5 second delay when turning to get to full steering lock. You have start turning early (well before you hit the apex) when entering sharp corners

How does it compare to Forza and Grand Turismo? Pros/cons?

I find it is more sim like than Forza, cars handle similar to Gran Turismo ie: sliding around is trickier the car wants to hold the racing line more.

Visually its on par with Forza in most ways, and weather wise is better looking than Forza. IMO visually its way ahead of Gran Turismo, will be interesting to see how polyphony responds in the next game.

As for the cons the game still has some collision bugs to workout. Also AI could use a bump up on smaller tracks to keep cars from piling up .

Overall me being a big Forza and GT fan I haven't been disappointed with project cars. I was skeptical but the good outweighs the bad so far in my experience with the game.

Hopefully down the road they update the game with more JDM/N.American autos. A Nissan Skyline GTR would be fun

There's no r35 in this game? I was actually thinking about buying a wheel and this game just so I could drive the gtr haha. I figure it's cheaper than buying an actual gtr.
