RonMexico
Keeper/dynasty leagues have somewhat ruined fantasy sports for me. That along with information overload from the internet, trade evaluators, live drafts and rate this trade forums have all made fantasy sports less enjoyable for me. Personally I would do away with keepers and live drafts. These are the two things that we all have grown accustomed to but in reality, they suck the fun out of making trades. Trades now are nearly impossible to pull off because of fear of ridicule for making a 'bad trade'. The evaluator says you lose! why did you do that?? Or Mr Expert said you should acquire that player, not trade him, are you stupid? Live drafting just gives you a chance to get the majority of the players you covet rather than try to make a play for them during the season. Keepers just allows you to never trade Jamaal Charles, Mike Trout or Sidney Crosby until they are no longer relevant no matter how good or bad your team starts and finishes. Anyways, I know I stand on an island mostly alone with this but I yearn for the days of making trades where you couldn't analyze them to death and you personally had to make a guess if it would benefit you at all. NucksPatsFan
If we were to do a dynasty league, would we start from scratch and this upcoming season would be year 1 of our CDC Dynasty league? Because I don't really want to go forward with a dynasty team with last year's roster. @RonMexico if we stuck with keeper, we wouldn't be able to keep the likes of Charles, Trout, Crosby because players drafted in the 1st 2 rounds aren't allowed to be kept, therefore they will be availble in the draft every year. I made a basketball trade once, didn't turn out too bad. Jimmy Butler and Isaiah Thomas for Marcus Smart and Hassan Whiteside. My friends all ridiculed me, but I came out alright in the end. Don't worry about it man.
RonMexico
I made a basketball trade once, didn't turn out too bad. Jimmy Butler and Isaiah Thomas for Marcus Smart and Hassan Whiteside. My friends all ridiculed me, but I came out alright in the end. Don't worry about it man. I don't worry about the ridicule at all. I am an active trader in any leagues I play in. If I lose one, I don't care because I likely will have won 3 or 4 other ones. Trading is my favourite part of fantasy sports and over the last few years, trades are harder and harder to make because of the reasons I outlined above. That outlines another beef I have, too many rules regarding keepers. Just auto-draft a new team every year and you never have to worry about keeper rules. If you forget, you can look at your draft results. First 2 players = no no

First 2 players = no no I wasn't just referring to this specific league that you are talking about. But since I don't really want to play in this league, I won't clog up this thread any further by droning on about my fantasy sports gripes. Because I don't really want to go forward with a dynasty team with last year's roster. I'd prefer if we just kept the rosters we had. Remember no money is involved and you can change up to 5 players. You can also make trades to improve your roster.
King Heffy
I'm definitely down with making it a dynasty if everyone else is ok with it, but I'm fine with whatever everyone else wants. Had a blast last year! Plus I get to keep one of Bell/Brown even if the top 2 rounds are protected (can't remember which order I picked them in last year). canuckfan_21
Personally I like the keeper format we already have in place. The way we have it set up it makes every year a mostly fresh start. Keeps things new as well as allowing us to hold on to our late round gems. Personally for me I worry about things getting kind of stale/boring using pretty close to the same team over and over again Edit: with all that said i'm not too stubborn on the whole thing. Will go with the majority Edited May 20, 2015 by canuckfan_21

NucksPatsFan
The only thing I don't like about transferring last year's rosters into a dynasty league is if I (And others) had known it would be a dynasty league, I/we would've had a different draft strategy. Right now my roster is comprised of mostly older veterans who will be in reduced roles next season but had pretty prominent roles this past season. Also if $$ were involved then I can see the issue. I personally don't think I have a strong team, but I want to see if I can change that.

canuckfan_21
So I went to go check out our league page and it says under keeper rules we now get 20 keepers so I'm assuming we've made the switch to dynasty league? If we have does that mean we choose to keep all players we have or all but the 0-5 we want to drop as you outlined somewhere above
