NHL'er
Trade: To Buffalo: Eddie Lack Linden Vey Frankie Corrado To Vancouver: 2015 First Round Pick (21st Overall) Mikhail Grigorenko Trade Higgins and Bieksa ideally for a second in this years draft and or picks in the 2016 draft. Draft: Paul Bittner (21) Brandon Carlo / Oliver Kylington (23) Ryan Pilon (Second Rounder) *assuming the players are available. I see Paul Bittner and Brandon Carlo as "meat and potatoe" type of guys that Benning loves although I'm not sure what Gradin and the brass think of Kylington and whether or not they would take him at 23 over Carlo. Vey would be a nice addition to Buffalo's young group and could fare much better as a winger in the east whereas Grigorenko definitely needs a change in scenery and could very well be that future #1C if developed properly. Certainly a high risk high reward player for us. If Grigorenko isn't an effective 4C we can let him work with Travis Green for a bit and sign Santorelli as 4C. Sign Cody Franson 5 years at 25 million with a limited NTC. A younger, bigger, more offensive right handed upgrade on Bieksa. BI3KSA-
So basically Buffalo trades the 21st and Grigor for Lack? Cause the other two are redundant in their prospect pool. I dont see why theyd be interested in that.
NHL'er
Grigorenko has slowly become redundant with Eichel, Reinhart and Girgensons down the middle. He's had three mediocre seasons in the NHL and is set to become a RFA (poor management burning off a year of his contract in his rookie year) with rumours he might leave for the KHL if he doesn't receive a one way contact. The Sabres need to make a decision on him and his value is certainly at an all time low.
Warhippy
This is a massive over payment from Vancouver and does little to help buffalo
