they really need to just sit Boeser until his groin fully recovers. As mentioned so many times before, groin injuries linger around and even when you're feeling better it can EASILY get re-aggravated  and you start the process all over again.

Do they have a monkey running the medical department or what?

No, its a groin injury. I've had one. Unless you go the super-duper conservative route of shutting down for 4-7 weeks, then starting it up again gradually and giving it 10-12 weeks 'back to normal' timeframe, you can be seemingly good by all the stretches, MRIs, etc. and re-injure it in a jiffy. Groin is a funny muscle that way....you can be A-ok in 2-3 weeks and not hurt it again, you can feel good for 2-3 weeks and go back to square one after one simple lunge.

Not all groin injuries are the same, he doesn't  need to shut it down for 2 months it's just a strain.  Considering he missed a game a few nights ago for the same injury I think it's pretty safe to say that he should take a week or two off all together.

true. The doctors know when the groin injury is healed sufficiently enough to not show symptoms but its a pretty big gamble in most cases (except for the super-conservative route) on whether it has completely healed or not. Thats why re-aggravating groin injuries are a common theme across many sports.

I am not saying he should be shut down for 3 months. I am saying i can see why doctors will give him all-clear in 2 weeks from now and why if he hurts it again another 2 months down the road, its also not a surprise.

Brock’s being sent home to see a specialist, might re-join the team later.  Good news, I suppose.

I'm glad they are at least taking extra time with injuries this year. It feels like they rushed things in the past.

Hopefully this leads to less on going injuries. We had way to many guys come back from injury and get hurt shortly after last season.

Guess his groin couldn’t handle playing at such a high rate of speed every single shift with EP40.

The ankle breakin', groin grinding super hero.  Yep, tough for those around him for sure.

Sadly, he and EP were really starting to look for each other out there and connect.  A brief interruption is NOT MAKING ME HAPPY.   Hockey's fun with those two doing it.

He looked so fast vs. the Avs, I thought for sure he was healed.  Oh well, good that the club recognizes that another opinion is needed and they are not rushing him back.  Hope he returns with another 4 point game.
