Let's.  Have him invite his other speculating media friends too...the more, the merrier?

it is almost like reading all the opinions on cdc. each one, more accurate then the one before it.

Guy on 650 just now saying it’s looking like a bridge deal for Brock.  I’m guessing 2 times 5 million.

Look to mine to be AT LEAST 6% accurate.  On the third Wednesday during a full moon.

Could be beneficial for us to do a bridge or could come back to bite us.

I personally don’t like 8 year deals because I feel like they can kill a players motivation to strive for more.

If in 4 years Boeser has earned himself a 10 million dollar contract I would say things went pretty well in his development and he deserves to be paid. Sure we could save a few million if we lock him in now, but I prefer the idea of him proving himself over a longer period before he gets paid.

I’d like to see a four year bridge.  Four times 6 works.

Scott Rintoul said just now on sportsnet 650 that the reported comments from David Pagnotta doesn't reflect the true stance of either side.

He said that according to his contacts and sources, neither side wants a bridge deal, but they want a long term deal.  Biggest hold up is the salary part.  Boeser trending towards a 8mil side for a long term deal as the Canucks management want something less than 7 mil.

Lots of different voices/sources, who knows what exactly he wants.

Ah, love negotiations.  What people "want" often exceeds what they're willing to accept.  You shoot high.

Brock knows that we have an exciting team and seems to have already bonded with Petey, I'm sure that'll factor in.  The team has a budget to work within, so they'll have to draw a firm line (too).  Then they'll meet somewhere in the middle.  All part of the tug of war, cat and mouse game and I put zero worry into any reports until it's a done deal.

This off-season I have been very happy with the contracts GMJB has been handing out and I am hopeful that he will continue this trend and impress with his next one for Boeser!

Myers 5 years @ 6mil

Benn 2 years @ 2mil

Ferland 4 years @ 3.5mil

*Boeser 4-6 years @ 6.5 -7.25 mil ( in an ideal world something like this makes sense for both sides although the higher the aav, more roster players would need to be moved out [schaller, loui, baertschi, for example).

Once Brock's deal is done, all Canuck fans will dial in on Loui E's future...

Edler was going to sign elsewhere too... Myers was also going to be $7x7.

Hey, there's a Shocker!

Player wants more money,  team wants less - who in the world could've seen this coming lol^_^?

Both sides can win/lose.  If BB remains a 50'ish - 60 pt guy 8mil might be overpayment.   If BB busts out to a 40, 45, or even 50 goal scorer 8mil is very,  very reasonable imo.

This signing will take some time.  There's a lot of high end rfas to be signed and all the managers are waiting for the 1st gm to blink.  After the first contract is signed, the others will follow quickly.
