Clearly someone needs to inform him he's 'only' supposed to be competing with the likes of Beagle at 4C and not a skilled position in the top 9

With those huge bloated contracts given to old slugs Sutter and Beagle, Gaudette stays in the minors the next 3-4 years until they expire.

Clearly you and I know it's not Sutter or Beagle who need be worried but guys like Gagner, Granlund, Baer, Leipsic, Goldobin, perhaps even Eriksson etc

Granlund, Baertschi, Leipsic, and Goldobin will all be lost on waivers for nothing when idiot Benning tries to sneak them down just so the old expensive guys can keep their spots.  We're stuck with Gagner and Eriksson forever 'cuz he'll probably double their salary and extend them.

Apparently I wasn't over-the-top enough... kinda says a lot about this place.

 

Meanwhile, from the article posted above on Gaudette:

WAY too many people sleeping on Gaudette, imo, figuring he goes to Utica.  That 5-game taste was just what he needed to prepare for this season.  Doubt he plays one game there, ever.

Hopefully, but even so I'd like to see Utica win the cup and then have those champions graduate to the Canucks after gaining that bond.

I think it is a numbers game, and it is more than likely that those players that are waiver eligible will be put down in Utica temporarily…….I just don't see the sense of exposing assets that may have trade value, while Benning looks to move them...…..he says one thing, but I think it is an entirely different thing when push comes to shove.

 

My though is that Pettersson will start the season up, but the rest of the prospects will start down for a month or 2 until trades are found, or injuries start to force Benning's hand.

 

My prediction is though that Gaudette will play well down there, as well as Dahlen, Juolevi, and Demko, all who will be playing in the NHL by the end of the season...…….

 

I do not have too much concern about those guys.....my interests are in Briseboise, Sautner, McEneny, and Lind to see if they push at all....we will see.....it will be fun!
