YEGCanuck
In my little mind trading Edler is a non-starter. Same thing with Calgary as a trade partner. And forget about retaining salary.
Skirbs11
If we are tanking at the deadline I think we make 3 trades. 1-Vrbata 50% retained to Montreal for Noah Juulsen and 2nd rd pick....Montreals weakness is a scoring winger Vrbata solves that 2-Hamhuis 50 % retained to Dallas to Julius Honka and 2nd rd pick.....After shoring up there goaltending Dallas next weak spot is a top 4 Dman 3-Sedins 50% retained to NYI for Matt Barzal, Micheal Dal Colle, Ryan Pulock 1st and 3rd......NYI has a young roster now and leverages some of there future for 2 elite players on extremley cheap cap hits Canucks retain salary on all deals to maximize the return on players. Hamhuis and Vrbata dont matter as they are off the books a few months later anyways. Sedins are given the oppertunity to have multiple runs at the cup with a Solid NYI team. 2016 Draft 1st rd...2...Canucks, NYI 2nd rd....4...Canucks, Anaheim, Montreal, Dallas. 3rd rd....1....NYI Can use NYI and some 2nds to move up if we desire Virtanen-Barzal-Boeser Dal Colle-Horvat-Baertschi McCann-Cassels-Shinkaurak Kennins-Gaunce-XXXXX Corrado-Pulock Juulsen-Honka Briesbois-Subban
