canuckbeliever
According to multiple sources the Canucks will announce the signing of Alex Grenier tomorrow. And by multiple sources I mean a tweet deleted by the Canucks twitter account. https://twitter.com/...662470320656384

Supra
have always liked this kid. huge body with soft hands and a lot of skill. Could definitely play for the canucks this year in some capacity.
TheRussianRocket.
Easy Matthias/Kassiam replacement. Brings it every night and he breathes the culture change JB & TL want. Very excited about Grenier.
theminister
Good. That's all I have to say about that.
-AJ-
There wouldn't be much point in faking something like that, so it's probably true. Good stuff. Whether he makes the big club or stays in Utica, he'll be a valuable asset.
Ossi Vaananen
Excellent. Need to ink Baer, Clendening, and Corrado as well. I remember Benning being interviewed in the Calder finals saying as many as 5 comets could make it. Baer, Clendening, Corrado and Markstrom seem like locks, due in part to waiver eligibility. The 5th, if it is set in stone, is one of Grenier/Gaunce/Virtanen. Should be a fun training camp. In addition to this, Comets camp is being held in France next year, making it likely that AHL bound guys would be the first round of cuts, I could see a roster of only 30 being used in the preseason games. Sedin Sedin Burrows Baertschi Bonino Vrbata Higgins Horvat Hansen Prust Vey Dorsett Kenins Cassels Virtanen Gaunce McCann Grenier Edler Tanev Hamhuis Weber Sbisa Clendening Bartkowski Corrado Pedan Subban Miller Markstrom
Tortorella's Rant
Looks like he's coming along nice. Maybe we'll get to see one of our own developed prospects play some games this season. Can't say that often with our prospects..

Positive Canuck
He was on Utica's first line and impressed the Canuck management... He's a 6"4 big body and plays with some jam u like the last big guys that just got moved. move Burr,Higgins and free up 7 million in cap Sedin-Sedin-Grenier Baerschi-Horvat-Vrbata Kenins-Bonino-Dorsett Prust-Cassels-Virtanen
Positive Canuck
does that mean that a right-winger is on the wayout ? Burrows or Hansen ?

He is in the AHL, but his style of play fits perfectly with the 3rd or 4th line in the NHL. I'd much rather reserve those spots for snipers like Vrbata or young guys with more offensive upside like Baertschi.
Trebreh
I hope he,Virtanen and Gaunce make the team next year and push Higgins and Burrows out of the lineup. This would be a fun lineup to watch.... even if we tank lol. Raoul Duke
Cue the most pointless signing ever parade. Jesus christ, can we just fast forward like three seasons?
saucypass
Remember guys, Hansen scored 43 in 50 at the AHL level once upon a time at the age of 22.

saucypass
So? So that means Grenier might not be a top 6 player and we should be okay with that.
