johnnyhockey
In June, I asked CDC about the Canucks rivals (http://forum.canucks.com/topic/369947-canucks-rivals/#entry12806826) and got a great response. Today, Grantland featured a few referenced (Chicago, Colorado, Calgary, Boston) and more from around the league. http://grantland.com/the-triangle/the-heavyweight-belt-of-nhl-rivalries
HerrDrFunk
That was nice to see Blackhawks-Canucks get a shout out in there. I miss that rivalry. Sure, the games we play against the Blackhawks are always pretty intense but there just isn't the same bad blood there anymore.

TimberWolf
Nucks care more about the Hawks than they about us these days. Think we'll be back to the Flames Rivalry again and possibly Oilers if they start competing.
tybarber
After watching that Top 10 Canucks Hawks video, I was reminded how that Mitchell hit on Toews was an absolute beauty!
falcon45ca
Wow, just watching the highlight clip of Burr's Game 7 OT winner against the 'Hawks gave me goosebumps. Such a incredible moment.
Drive-By Body Pierce
Great write up! Long, but kept me interested the whole time. I'll have to go back later and watch all the videos when I'm not at the office.
JoshuaGuy
Whenever I think of Canucks/Blackhawks rivalry I think Bufyiuglien? Vs Luongo and how he'd be allowed to basically sit on luongo and goals would count. Garbage.

I had tickets to game 2 and sat behind luongo for teo periods that ruined my experience lol
SaintPatrick33
Canucks versus Alberta should next on this list... Can't wait until we throw out a line of Prust Dorsett Kenins and smash 18 year old Bennett and those cocky punks from Calgary
DownUndaCanuck
The Ducks and Hawks are developing quite the rivalry in recent years. Obviously the Habs-Bruins have had some serious hate for a long time but Montreal is now pulling away a bit from Boston. I think the Calgary-Vancouver rivalry is going to heat up again. It went from Naslund vs Iginla to a bit of a quiet spell while the Canucks crushed the Flames, but now the Flames are back and better than us. Bissurnette
One fluke playoff win doesn't make the Flames better than us sorry. There was nothing flukey about that win. The Canucks absolutely collapsed in game 6. That said, I still don't think that the flames are better than us.
Baer.
I think Calgary-Vancouver will become a prominent rivalry if we end up meeting in the playoffs again next year.

That said, I still don't think that the flames are better than us. I disagree. Unless they have a rash of injuries, the Flames are easily equal or superior in terms of forward depth, defense, and even goaltending. This doesn't guarantee that they will finish ahead of Vancouver for sure, but I would say they are on their way up, where the Canucks are most likely going to take a step back this season. I think any time you have Daniel and Duncan attempted murderer Keith on the ice in the sake game. It'll always boil my blood. Nothing better than canucks vs hawks hockey. Not to mention we humiliate them each time we play.
