Oregon Canucky
Hey guys... Im sickened to see this, so i thought Id share it so you guys can be sick with me. What a tool.... http://www.kptv.com/story/29887031/portland-winterhawks-assistant-coach-accused-of-assaulting-woman An assistant coach for the Portland Winterhawks hockey team is facing charges including assault and strangulation. According to court documents, deputies responded to a domestic disturbance call at a home on the 1900 block of Latitude Way in Beaverton at 7:35 a.m. Aug. 16. A woman said Keith McKittrick, 32, threw her on the bed during an argument and put his hands over her mouth and nose preventing her from breathing for five to 10 seconds, according to a probable cause affidavit. The affidavit states the woman scratched McKittrick's hands and arms and bit him. She told detectives she was afraid she was going to die while being strangled by McKittrick. Court documents state the woman told deputies she attempted to leave the home by running out the door, but McKittrick grabbed her by the hair and pulled her back inside and up the stairs. The woman was asked to rate the pain from the incident on a scale of one to 10, with 10 being the worst pain she has ever felt, according to court documents. She told investigators the pain was a 10. A probable cause affidavit states McKittrick told deputies the argument was only verbal and nothing physical took place. A deputy said he observed various scratches and a bite mark on McKittrick's right hand, consistent with the woman's version of the incident, according to the affidavit. McKittrick was arrested on charges of fourth-degree assault, strangulation and domestic menacing. He is due in court Sept. 14. According to the Winterhawks website, McKittrick was hired as an assistant coach in July 2014. He was previously an assistant coach for the Detroit Red Wings in the NHL. A Winterhawks spokesman told FOX 12, "We're aware of the situation and we are taking it seriously. Keith is currently on administrative leave while the legal process plays out. At this time, we cannot comment any further than that."

Rounoush
It sounds like she might be exaggerating a bit. I'm not saying he should hit a woman and the guy's probably a piece of s*** but...here I'll just let Bill Burr explain what I mean. WARNING: Coarse Language

Rounoush
Exaggerating, eh? Okay. Your right. That's an unfair assumption. I was mostly just reacting to her 10/10 pain scale. I just wanna know what caused the dude to go ballistic.
Ghostsof1915
So what's going on, hockey is turning into the NFL?
viking mama
Your right. That's an unfair assumption. I was mostly just reacting to her 10/10 pain scale. I just wanna know what caused the dude to go ballistic. Did she say that a pain level of 10/10 was reached for pulled hair? Hmmm, yah.. so unless she's lived a very charmed existance or inside of a bubble all of her life,..she may have torpedoed some of her credibility right there. And, I am not defending the actions of any brute with that statement.
viking mama
There are many despicable brutes out there and passion cannot be some blanket excuse for violence...but, I have also had my mouth covered for 5 sec to prevent me from shouting "Surprise!" too soon...meh...no big deal. I would have been within my rights to bite the hand obstructing my airway, in any case, tho'...right Burr? Is there yet another version of these events to be told, perhaps inbetween 'nothing happened' & he 'attempted to murder' the woman? Will Mr. McKittrick be accountable as charged? Clearly he wasn't being all that upfront with investigators from the get go - so stay tuned, folks. And - who else is glad that Cederholm will be outta there (Portland)? peaches5
pain 10/10? I say no. Fear 10/10 is more likely.
RonMexico
I wonder why TSN, Sportsnet, etc aren't all over this like they were with Patrick Kane. I know the cases are different but alleged rape can't be any worse than strangulation/4th degree assault/domestic menacing combo.
bigbadcanucks
I wonder why TSN, Sportsnet, etc aren't all over this like they were with Patrick Kane. I know the cases are different but alleged rape can't be any worse than strangulation/4th degree assault/domestic menacing combo. Do you honestly need to wonder why this is the case? Kane = NHL superstar player...McKittrick = some 32 year old ex-video coach of the Red Wings and a junior A assistant coach. You think anybody gives a rats @$$ about this dude? You should know by now that it's not about the alleged crime that matters...it's who allegedly committed the crime that the media cares about.
